I went to Changmai once for the weekend - it was closed. Ok for old farts.
ОтветитьDo you do live Q & A and is there an International School to get an ED Visa close by. If so where as I would like to live close to the school. Thank you
Ответитьi'm and old dude and look out of place at bars but i do like eye candy when it comes to women -is easy to just look and appreciate
Ответитьi like to read -are there decent libraries there for the public -or can one get access to the big college library there
ОтветитьNice one Wayne. Very useful. You’ve pushed me a good bit closer to the edge. Thank you Sir.
ОтветитьGreat advice and information! Thank you Wayne!!
ОтветитьThe more i watch your videos Wayne , the more I get convinced that you are my alt self in another color from a different mother and father lol. I have a dream of living an uneventful chilled life like yours. It’s a blessing man, trust me. Looking forward to your video on how you structured your life to maintain the discipline of not going over the budget. And are these 5-7k baht studios in Chiang Mai easy to find? Or they’re just far and few.
ОтветитьI would not use safety wing they won’t pay
Ответитьman, thanks! this is what I need to hear!
ОтветитьAwesome video
ОтветитьNice of you to share that info - yes, you can live reasonably... I will pass this along.
ОтветитьHow long time have you spent in Thailand and how long time have you've been living in Chiang Mai?
ОтветитьThank you ! Very interesting!👍
ОтветитьThank you ! Very interesting!👍
ОтветитьGreat video !
ОтветитьI should stop order 2-3 food at once 😂😂😂
ОтветитьGood video, thanks.
Ответитьwhere do you keep your motorbike, and when you go out how do you secure it, is theft an issue there
ОтветитьThanks for your video. You have given me some ideas about cost of living. I am planning to visit Thailand and maybe retire there. God bless!
ОтветитьWhere are the best places in old town, Chang Mai, to get a room in budget hotels for say around 300 to 500 baht a night, any names budget hotels??
Not interested in Agoda, FB, Airbnb etc, there total garbage for the costs, so please don't refer them
Thank you for this, I was getting a bit demoralised with all the don't come to thailand videos saying it's not cheap anymore.
I plan on moving to pattaya at the end of the year, do you think these prices budget could be similar. I'm a simple man with a simple lifestyle.
Very True what you are saying. Cause you go there as a retirement place. It a good guide I should say. Even while I spend mine hiking holiday I don't use more than 1 thousand baht a day. Including petrol.
ОтветитьExcellent video, thanks so much for sharing. I can tell you put a lot of time into this in the information is really helpful. I’ve really been considering the area that you’re in and hope to move there soon. 😎
ОтветитьHahahahahaha@ humpty dumpty for free! Whatever do you mean Wayne? LOL!!!!
Oh and what about for the females? Do we get all the kings men for free? lol
i'm with you wayne. i dont need fancy things, i can live out of a suitcase. just a matter of personal choice. less i have to carry around and less i have to worry about. with me growing up on street type of foods from laos, i am sure my food budget will not be as high as others will have. i will get a craving for western food every so often though. hopefully i'll be there some time next year. keep them vids coming.
ОтветитьA bit of humpty Dumpty 😂
ОтветитьThanks. That was so helpful. 😊
ОтветитьExcellent video! Thanks for sharing, Wayne!
Keep up the good work.
Much appreciated 🙏
Love your vlogs Wayne,
ОтветитьThis is by far the best break down of cost of living and very down to earth realistic of what a person would do after you visit all the tourist site. Thank you so much.
Ответитьcool! just need job that allows me to work from abroad and I'm ready to move
ОтветитьPerfect breakdown
ОтветитьThis budget is good for “survival mode”but not too much extra/fun. I think $1500 is good and $2000 is comfortable 👍🏼.
ОтветитьVery good 👍
ОтветитьI’m thinking of moving to Thailand myself very helpful would love to connect with you
ОтветитьWhat income do you have Wayne?
ОтветитьI live out in Ban Tawai, we bought out house so don't have a rental fee, but I admit I like to be cool at night so I use AC when it's over 25 degrees. Like you we live a simple quiet life but being over 55 I pay less on visas but more on insurance. However our monthly spend is about 20,000 Baht, that's for me and my wife, who is Thai.
Nice to see a video of someone who, having lived an everyday working life in the UK, can appreciate the simply life here.
Good luck to you.
What do you do to make an income and live in thailand?
Ответить$1000 a month! Awesome. The lifestyle sounds perfect.
ОтветитьGood video. This sounds good to me. Only been to Chang Mai once, I liked it. Did some fishing, went to see some Mutai and a couple of bars, yeah was good. Almost 70 now so have slowed down some. 😂😇👍❤️
ОтветитьRefreshing to hear someone that's doing the Thai life this way. I'd imagine you have a great life not stressing about having enough money, clearly you're a much more realistic person than most. Just a normal bloke taking life easy one day at a time
ОтветитьI really enjoy your channel bro!
Question: Are cold cuts, cheese, and baguettes readily available there?
Me and my Thai wife live on 40,000 baht a month. Own house (no rent). Includes health insurance (4,000 per month). We don't go out much, so cook at home mostly. We do have a few beers in the evening and the odd glass of wine.
ОтветитьThe big luck loves little things
ОтветитьGood job Wayne... everyone is a little different on the spend, but you're living a very good life on a very wallet friendly budget. 👍
ОтветитьI am thinking of moving with 18k aussie. 10k in business savings and spend a relaxed year working on my online ventures.
ОтветитьDon’t worry my dear friend. Horses for courses. You seem happy and content and really Wayne isn’t that all that counts. Love you vids
Keep em coming and I’ll keep watching 🙏
Great video. Very detailed. I admire your self-discipline.
I hope that you look into some better health insurance at some point. Safety Wing doesn't strike me as particularly cheap (especially as you get older), and, from reading the policy, it does not appear to be renewable for life. You do not want to be shopping for new health insurance at age 64 or 69. If you stay in Thailand and get kicked off your Safety Wing policy, you could end up with a pre-existing condition exclusion when you sign up for new insurance, if you can even get a policy when you're older. Right now, you're young and healthy, so you have your pick of the best lifetime-renewable policies. As an American who has spent his entire life worrying about health insurance, shopping for health insurance, and paying a lot of money for it, I suspect that if you stick with Safety Wing, 70-year-old Wayne will be disappointed with 50-year-old Wayne.
All the best. And thanks again for this great video and all of your great content from Chiang Mai.
Like to the crib
ОтветитьDISCLAIMER: Always have some savings and don't just rely on a budget with nothing else. I would never be here with just the monthly budget. Have savings for back up!
Surviving for me, was back home working in a factory 10 hours a day, paying for my apartment.
Take it easy man
