How to Hide Speakers with Old Books

why would anyone hide their speakers with books ?

I guess the idea is somewhat nifty but I'm convinced the sound would be muffled too much to make this worth ruining the speakers for. Besides there are much better ways to install speakers and keep them out of eye sight.

Um... why would you want to hide speakers? Just buy better looking speaker. Also when you do this sound will be muffled and not sound as good, wtf.

And when making the delivery to the recepient, make sure that te delivery method is either through walking (while the body is fueled through "fair trade", organic, local, in season foods sold by a co-op) or the use of public transit.

@brian9827 That is really pushing it for the case of being ecofriendly. In that case, I could make the argument that cutting and disposing of the middle portion is very unecofriendly. Also, the use of all the petrochemical glue when it is not absolutly necessary but for personal recreation only encourages the petroleum industry and their profit evil motives...

So your basically doing similar to putting a pile of books infront of a speaker... or putting a speaker behind a bookcase. Only difference is that this is just more work and destroys the books.

He keeps saying Jigsaw, but first it shows the person using a hacksaw, then using a box cutter. I think the maker of this video doesn't know what a jigsaw looks like.

@jayghan : Well though I agree the idea is pretty stupid, but the trees didn't die to make speakers. They died to make paper, that was made into a book, and sometimes those books aren't even worth the paper they were printed on.

Somebody doesn't know their tools. A Jigsaw? The man was using a bloody x-acto knife! A scratch awl? They were using a flippin' phillips head screwdriver! This is such a fail on so many levels. I'd by old books to READ them, not to cut cavities into them to hide fucking speakers. What a waste of books.
