Another quick fact regarding Spider-Man punching swear words in the cheat code screen. While Spider-Man does appear and punch swear words in the PAL version of the PS1 Spider-Man game, they remain on screen and don’t change into nicer words unlike the the North American version.

Spider-Man for PS1 and Spider-Man 2 the movie game are pound for pound the best Spider-Man games of all time. I will die on the hill that SM2 has the best swinging mechanic. I know it's such a cliche, but it makes you feel like Spider-Man, just like Arkham Asylum did for Batman.

Too bad Peter Parker's Spider-Man will no longer be a hero going past Spider-Man 2. Really goes against how Yuri Lowenthal wanted to keep voicing him, but no, Insomniac just wants Peter to be a background character going forward despite him not even being in his 30s.

Even more sad is the fact that the Peter Parker iteration of Spider-Man has been in a lot of terrible 8-bit and 16-bit games in the past. So just as his games were starting to get good he just gets tossed to the curb. Great.
