Cal from 2009-2015 would still dominate any league. He doesn’t get those players anymore. Those teams were killing teams like Duke Kansas and UNC. So this new SEC thing as a reason doesn’t hold water. And trying to win at Arkansas isn’t the same as UK. Also past UK teams would win in any conference in any era. The SEC always has what we call the spin wheel. It’s UK and someone else every half decade to decade. It was Arkansas in the 90’s, Florida in the 2,000’s, etc. there’s more teams better than usual but it will still be UK and who else decade to decade. Right now I’d say Auburn. It’ll change. Next will be UK and someone else on their run.

Let’s be real, Arkansas has had 4 Coaching changes in 15 years. Does Arkansas really have a program? The AR fans are already making the excuses about “banged up players” with unfortunate mystery injuries and saying this isn’t a trend, he’s having one bad year, and Cal is setting this up with a slow start and he’s gonna peak at the right time and be the underdog that was doubted and shot full of bazooka holes and make a big run and win it all.

It’s 🐂 💩he plays the wrong guys in the wrong spot and when they don’t do what he wants they get benched after a few minutes in the game, and the pressure, we all seen Reed Sheppard cryin in the locker room because Cal put the weight of the world on his shoulders when DJ Wagner got his on cue injury so Cal could say I told ya so to the naysayers who wanted a change up when we lost a home game to a Div 2 team, so instead of trying to build a UK player from KY up he sets him up for failure and then made him go on tour tellin the world how great DJ and Justin Edward’s are and then when they lost us games he still put the blame on Reed for missing a few 3’s. Cal put all the pressure on those kids when things got tough and if you think he’s taking any heat without those kids at AR hearin and feelin it, you’re bluffed.

He expects these high school kids to come into the NCAA and know how to win and finish big games, he expects them to run the few plays he’s taught them and when they blow up make tough high percentage 2’s or “just go make a play” that’s Cal speak for go make a wild deep contested 3, we seen that in the last game when Aidoo took his first 3 of the season on an inbounds play with a short clock, they ran no play because they had no play to get Davis or Boogie the ball, so the only man that hasn’t hit a 3 all year with an ankle injury takes the shot? “You don’t have to make them all but you sure can’t miss them all either.” -John Calipari

Btw Mizzou should be in the top 10. Two huge wins including the best all year, a good win over Vandy, and all three losses vs top 10-20 teams; of which we easily could've beaten Ill and Memphis. We are Really good on both ends, huge and athletic, deepest roster in college hoops history, and a top 5 who will run anyone off the floor in Ant Tamar Grill Pierce Mitchell. Now who knows what happens during this insane conference season but we have the dudes to beat ANYONE on a neutral court which means we have the dudes to make a deeeep run.

Mike Anderson was a very solid coach at Arkansas. No losing seasons, loved being a Razorback. Arkansas program looking like it will be hiring their fourth coach in seven seasons, what a mess.

As a lifelong Kentucky fan at the age of 58, this surprises no true Kentucky fans that are knowledgable with good basketball IQs. I loved Cal and appreciate what he did at Kentucky. But since 2015 final 4 loss it's been mostly downhill. He became complacent, wouldn't change and evolve and came to care more about sending guys to the NBA than winning at Kentucky. I wish he had just retired, but his ego and greed sent him to Arkansas. Arkansas fans thought they won, but really, Kentucky
was the big winner here. It's sad, but WE TOLD YOU SO ARKANSAS!

I am a UK fan and can clearly say that Cal does not care one bit about the name on the front of the jersey nor the fan base or anything except the name on the back of the jersey is all that matters to him. Cal wants his legacy to be remembered as how many first round picks he got into the NBA. The 2012 championship he got with us at UK simply because of Anthony Davis who is a once in a lifetime recruit and player. I hope Arkansas doesn’t keep wasting time and money on something that’s never going to happen. Good luck to the Razorbacks but at the same time it’s so good to have UK basketball back to a competitive level and to be exciting again.

I mentioned my thoughts before SEC play to some Arkansas fans and how they be upset ..they kept saying oh , u guys at UK are about to fall etc..cal of all coaches can’t NOT adapt..he did well till 2015/16.. since he lost some coaches and right hand man in 2017 or so we haven’t been good ..he doesn’t get guys messing ..0 defense..can’t win with freshman ..he’s gotta learn to change and it’s to late . Uk won here with a new coach in Pope . Arkansas should cut they’re losses and do a big change with a good good coach up

Its a reason Kentucky two guards who went top 5 are not playing any minutes. They were not well coached.

Hard to put a coach to judgement and task on a roster he is hired on with. This coach and team will be a competitive and challenging one. No program takes a coach to debate and argument on the first season. Coach let them run the floor and bring the weakside defensive help.
