awesome. sounds great, just the way it's suppose to
I was wondering, did the books arrive and the other things
The z-bar from a ‘59-‘64 Chevy full size car should be the same since they’re all X-Frame cars. Repros are sold on EBay.
ОтветитьExcellent Video Jason :) also hope that motor keeps going strong 💪 and run too!
ОтветитьIt's alive! Glad you got it running. Glad you are ditching the headers and running the rams horns. Much more suited for that car.
ОтветитьHeck yeah Jason, got it figured out and seems to run and sounds good 👍👍
ОтветитьRIGHT ON! RIGHT ON! IF IT ISN'T ONETHING, THEN IT'S ANOTHER! THE SOUND OF A NEW MOTOR, ALWAYS BRINGS A SMILE. NOW JUST TAKE YOUR TIME WITH THE REST. GOOD LUCK! ADIOS....
ОтветитьWow it's about time you got it turn the alarm off in your head and you finally got it done without trying😂😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьHello
ОтветитьA little timing on the distributor an you'll have it
ОтветитьGreat job. Sticking to it !!!
ОтветитьPerseverance does it every time
ОтветитьDam missed it live . Sorry buddy , was fill in trim ho,es in my new used fender . New welder sel teaching . But I’ll getter done
ОтветитьZip tie yer wires so there off the headers, I think timing is off. I’ve never heard of bringing it to dots at 12, then dump in distributor , didn’t to dot on crank , cam , install distributor, with rotor pointing at number one that will put it at 0 dwell. Then move distributor. To 8 degrees before top dead center . Give it a go buddy , and bolt yer mufflers on to yer headers temp to quiet it down , and you could run for 5 mins with out dist. Plus you may have to run it for 20 mins to break in cam if it’s new, also look for a vacuum leak that’s what it sounds like to me

ОтветитьAnd Jason , I just picked up a set of 461’s , 2.02 /1.60. 64 cc heads should give me 10-2-1 compression 355 350 bored 30 over
ОтветитьRemember to replace rear seal on trans so it won’t leak there like 5 bucks
ОтветитьGet a pilot crank bushings there cheap also ya need it when ya go from auto to std shift , as yer motor was probably in a ar with automatic . So you’ll need crank bushings there
ОтветитьI’m in Washington , wish you were closer , as we could getter movin
ОтветитьNice move using ram horns , headers blow gaskets constantly , you get those ram horns hooked up ya can almost get full exhaust over the counter at Oriellys . If not jc Whitney cheapest way for full exhaust
ОтветитьITS ALIVE !!!!!! LETS HOPE NO WATER GOES BACK INTO THE OIL PAN ONCE THE RADIATOR IS CONECTED.
ОтветитьI HEARD THAT ENGINE ROAR TO LIFE! HUGE CONGRATS JASON!!!
ОтветитьGlad to hear it run 😊
ОтветитьFair play jason. It is alive at last. Hi from Birmingham England 🏴
ОтветитьIts dot to dot , then put in distributor in at time. Set timing at 8 to 10 degrees . Never have heard of rotating to 12 clock then putting in distributor.
ОтветитьGlad to hear everything fire up
ОтветитьNow let's get it in the car😊
ОтветитьI like the sound of open headers
ОтветитьIt runs that's great news, now you got yourself a motor to drop in the 59 I bet you're happy.
ОтветитьWhen are you going to work on that rat rod that's outside
ОтветитьAwesome Jason
ОтветитьGreat to see got it up and running 👍🏼🎉
ОтветитьAwesome to hear the engine roar!! I love it can't wait to see it driving.
ОтветитьHEY !!! TURN THAT NOISY THING OFF !!! I'M TRYIN' TO SLEEP OVER HERE !!! ✌️🤣👍 Congrats Jason !
ОтветитьI missed the live feed, but I am excited to hear the engine run! I know you're busy there on the homestead getting ready for winter, but I hope you can find time to continue working on the El Camino. We want to see you driving the '59! 🙂
ОтветитьI knew it would run !
ОтветитьSounds great awesome Jason I can’t wait to see this car all done and put together and running at the junction city car cruise next year I hope to be there too and see your 1959 Chevy El Camino there
ОтветитьCool that’s awesome it runs 😊
ОтветитьThere's about a million steps to build an engine and the smallest of errors screws with you! Even pros will make an error. It sure feels good when you get it all going right!
ОтветитьCongratulation !!!!! You finally made running and made you satisfied for running thumb up
