Mod Organizer 2 - How to Install & Setup Guide (2020)

Man Ever since NMM has crapped out on me for Skyrim I’ve been so frustrated. It’s working just fine for Fallout 4 but I think it’s because my Skyrim is installed on a Portable Solid State drive it just isn’t working properly. This MO2 thing seems like it will work this time.

Just started using MO2 but not sure if I am installing mods correctly. Everything is downloading and installing fine, but I'm used to Vortex asking me if I want to overwrite files all the time but MO2 does not ask this. I'm also noticing that MO2 is not creating folders for all of the mods so when there is a mod I have to manually install, like Animation Limit Crash Fix SSE, I follow the manual install steps, but there is no Data/SKSE/Plugins folder so I had to manually create it. There are also missing folders that existed when using Vortex that are not showing up with MO2. Just want to make sure that I'm installing correctly or if there's another step like in Vortex where it asks you to deploy the mods.

i follow every step on this video, but when i click "download with mod manager", its only open with nexus mod manager (NMM) and i dont have any mod on to activate with mod manager 2, pls help

I have a question so whenever the mod downloaded I installed it. Whenever I opened Skyrim SE I saw but there was no preview image. Is there a way to get around this?

How do I clear the archive of all my mods? I want to start over completely because I switched over from NMM

Looks like it's a different version now. For some reason, MO2 decided to be unable to register my mods & dlcs into the game.

this is actually a great video, likely one of the best tutorials ive ever seen. you can follow this along without it being too slow or having to pause every 2 seconds <3 sub & like from me!

Hi ty for the info I installed mod 2 easily but how do I know my mod is working also I have an ultra wide screen and I’m playing Skyrim so it won’t size correctly I had to change resolution to make the game fit in a window but when I try to run mod from mod 2 it goes to full screen this not fitting game properly to my screen please help

I cant make an account at Nexus Mods. Every name I type it wont accept. I tried gibberish words and it says name already taken. This is very frustrating seeing as I have Skyrim v and Skyrim SE. I thought I'd like to play again after a few years break. This is maddening and I cant contact help without signing in.

Should i use vortex or this?

Thank you for the clear and easy to understand how to. I'm new to pc and all this file stuff is a bit confusing. Being a noob I downloaded steam and all my games to the default location. Do I need to uninstall steam and my games and reinstall them in their own folder before I can start all this modding correctly? I only have one 1tb drive so far. I could really use some help sorting this out.

Thank you for showing the paths. I didn't set that up correctly and had to drag off the mods I installed from one directory to a new directory after changing the paths.

when i try to start my game from mod organizer 2 it says something about an antivirus how do i fix this problem

I've never seen this problem before. I updated MO2 which removed my mods so I am reinstalling them but MO2 keeps saying about Marry Me Serana SSE "This mod is for a different game" when it's the exact same one I've always used for SSE. I even redownloaded it again straight from Nexus SSE.

This program was a complete failure.... I went back to obmm. I tried installing a new body replacer and now I don't have a body lol... just a head and arms n stuff...

Whenever I opened my mod organizer it doesnt register elder scrolls SE for me. When I go to browse for it and go to the folder its located it I cant see it it doesnt recognize it
