"Bombs in Ukraine & war in Gaza". Ukraine & Russia are state actors, & as such, that qualifies as war. In Gaza however, its a state actor bombing civilians populations in such great numbers it has been classes as a genocide. Without a corresponding army, Gaza can't be considered a war. More like ethnic cleansing or similar war crimes. Let's not dissensitize people's lives simply coz they aren't Europeans 😊

We developed in small social groups where the main driver of change were the gradual movement of the seasons. Go to the country and sit in a field for an hour and you'll really appreciate how slowly change actually occurs. This is the environment we live in for centuries. Compare that to how we no live and you'll see how absurdly over stimilated it is and how ill adapted we are to cope with it.

Actually, the frog analogy is not true; frog does notice the temperature change and jumps out on time, instead of being cooked alive.

It is interesting how you explicitly mentioned "Russia" as responsible for "attacking Kiev and other Ukrainian cities with renewed brutality" but forgot to mention who attacked the children's hospital in Gaza.

I am so tired of the frog in boiling water analogy. I must have heard it about 500 times in the last 2 weeks along. It's being used to describe EVERYTHING currently going on in the world.

DW reports a constant stream of overseas crisis's, so are they going to change? What use is hearing of a tragedy in a far off land which 99.9% of us cannot influence and doesn't influence our surroundings?

I think both "we can't do anything" and "I'm so worried about everything in the world" have pros and cons. As always the middle could be the best. Of course we as individuals can't change radically change anything. But we have 2 powers: voting and buying. Without vote politicians don't have powers and without buying billionaires don't have power. To an extend we CAN chose, we just have to be A LOT to belive in the same thing. Information is good and intentionallity is the first thing we must practice. Too much bad information from sources who only seek the click are to avoid. Is a difficoult matter but I think humanity can do it

They say to have more children and how when we see these kind of things in the TV all the time, these are the end times as they say.. I was about to go on a trip just a day of vacation and I didn’t, other people too changed their plans … where are we going? I’m about to buy a new travel bag filled with the necessary prepared for whatever it comes (and I mean a global conflict/war)

Legacy media are always looking to sensationalise the next 'news' item but very mute on true facts. Katowing to government is not helpful,- more critical analysis and less propaganda bots too.

It's overwhelming! And it's affecting my mental health.. So for peace of mind I have to moderate the content I watch so that I don't get depressed..I still have my life to live, and challenges to face everyday without the news adding onto into it... Plus there are issues I cannot change...

Well, you have been talking about rising sea levels for 20. 30. 40 years? But someone living on a coastal town hasn't noticed a thing; how do you think the should process your statements and what they see with their own eyes side by side?

Now I get it. Totalitarianism is about convincing everyone that they have no agency! In time the people at the top will also lose their agency through assassinations; coups; military defeat at the hands of outside forces, and from something as simple as death from natural causes. The hierarchy of human agency then reorganizes, for better or for worse. It's true that a single man or woman can change the world through a single expression of their will. Unfortunately that usually means there will be an assassination.

Humankind is very messy when we diminish the voices of others. This modern era however, has given billions of people a voice, only to have them all drown out the other. We must convince our kind that hope is possible through the individual's agency of positive physical action. Don't feel the need to make the world a better place. Just make a stranger or two feel a bit happier or safer, and you'll feel a bit happier or safer.

"Climate change" is the Facade narrative. HAARP and other similar tools, are what all this nonsense is all about.

The frog analogy is a myth. It’s been disproven. I used to use it a lot myself in social services work in the 80s and 90s, but it has definitely been disprove.
