I never actually played RollerCoaster when I was kid, but on the PS1 (I think it was this platform) I remember this theme park game that I literally spent hours playing per week. It was so relaxing and obviously easy to play. I cannot for the life of me remember the title, I’ve searched for it and called my mum and even she can’t remember the title but does remember the gameplay. I also remember not having a memory card so I would start a new game till eventually my friend from school came round and asked “why don’t you have a memory card?” And he had 6 of them and gave me 2. I never really minded starting new all the time cos it was incredibly relaxing, but I do remember that gift was a blessing as I started to add and increase the size the more I played.

Many people may not be old enough or forgotten, but mobile games were very different in its early days.

before the race to the bottom of 99cent and "Free" 2 play model there were growing number of:
- older console games were being ported if they could run on phones
- knock offs, but inspired big full games notably from GameLoft.

Apex Legends Mobile isn't even close to being a spin-off. What is it spinning off, exactly? Nothing, as far as I know, It's just a mobile port of what you could get with Apex Legends proper, only difference is that it runs under the Unreal Engine rather than the Source Engine. (Yeah, did you all forget the Titanfall games and Apex Legends ran on Valve's Source Engine??)

Lootboxes/Gacha aren't inherently bad, until you add real money to the mix. If you built a game around gaining some currency or resource to open a loot box for a random reward that's perfectly okay. Its once you need to spend money on them or the resource to open them that its predatory. Your friend may never spend a cent on any Gacha game, but he's not the target. The target is the whales that do get addicted to pulling and so imo, any kind of lootbox/gacha system that uses real money should absolutely get banned. Screw em!

I know this is 10 months old video. but Spartan assault/strike isn't 3rd person thats a common misconception with that camera angle. Thats actually isocmetric/bird eyes view so think like old school baldurs gate or crpg games.

When I was 13 and needed a replacement phone urgently, I got a Sony Erricson W100i Harry Potter Edition (because cool backplate, and it stood out enough from the rest of the phones that way) with a mobile version of Harry Potter. The game was pretty half baked, completed the story in I think 4-5 hours and the gameplay was very simplistic and meh.
