I could not get into The Children of Blood and Bone and I’ve heard the series doesn’t get better after the first. I really loved Legendborn and recommend trying that next.

When I was in my twenties doing grad school and work and pageant appearances and dance and community service I would double and triple book myself a lot. I ended up being frazzled running from place to place, exhausted and not making the impression I wanted to make cause I was running late or leaving early or not settling in and building relationships, or just not getting the full benefit out of any one thing I was trying to do in a day. When you’re multi talented with multiple passions there will always be some FOMO and sometimes even consequences of missing out on things you want to do that overlap other things you want to do, but sometimes it’s best to just choose one and commit to it. Just because you can do it all and feel like you should be able to do it all doesn’t mean you always need to.
