I have an amazon 55" TV (not firestick). The TV has an ethernet port. But when i plug in my ethernet into the back of the TV it does not recognize it all. What's going on?? Can you fix this for me? Any ideas.

The idea to be able to plug in Ethernet Cable alone is worth it. No setup issues and fastest possible connection to the inter web eliminates connection bottleneck issues. Question: Does adding a USB memory stick increase the internal Fire TV Stick memory for apps?

So will it play videos, play music, view photos, play games all from my hard drive? Can I download hacked free apps from my hard drive? That would be very awesome if it did all that.

That ethernet port you have is only a 10/100. WiFi will usually be better than that. They have ones that are 10/100/1000.

There are a few issues with your connection. The power coming in is needed to power the fire stick itself. So you disconnect the power micro usb, add a powered usb hub so it still powers the fire stick and gives you access to SD cards, usb drives, power and maybe micro usb if you need it. Another issue: I plugged a flash drive into a hub, but the fire stick didn’t like it and burned it out. Fire stick only supports a micro SD card with no more than 32 GB. Reason is it only uses FAT32 format. Spent lots of $ to find this out. And absolutely buy the best hubs and cables you can get, the cheap crap only works less than 50% of the time.

the fire tv box is very hard to come by, i did what you did to my fire stick and i taped it all up behind my tv. who cares what it looks like, it works very well...................

I bought a USB Host OTG Cable from a different link since the one you had was out of stock. I , plugged in a wireless keyboard remote and did not work is there anything I have to do in the system to enable it or should it work immediately? Thanks
