what shortcut key in Studio One will relay midi keystrokes into studio one if you didnt record the midi at first?

I would like to learn the shortcut key that allows Studio One to retain the MIDI keyboard inputs. This way, the stored key sequences can be readily recalled from memory and instantly translated into corresponding actions within Studio One by pressing a specific shortcut.

Hm, MIDI is one of the big cons of S1 - no patch names and no SysEx :-(

Mike, Hi..I've just changed over to Studio One 6.2 and I am determined to finally get the hang of MIDI! I noticed that all the midi notes on your demo were two tone (dark blue and light blue, left and right respectively). What does this two-tone illustration mean exactly? I either missed it on your video, or it wasn't there.

Sadly you kinda skipped right over a tutorial of how to set up a midi keyboard. You got caught up with the qwerty and internal voices and then all of a sudden, your yamaha keyboard worked. You missed all of how thats done.
Please do a video of simply that. Leave out the editing, etc. Id really like to be able to play my Alesis8.1 into S1

just one question, how to create a midi clip without recording? like getting into the piano roll to draw some notes in? because i dont play my stuff in with a midi keyboard, i always edit everything in the piano roll

What if I want to record different midi channels? I recorded a midi drum track then a piano track and it plays back drums with the piano sounds. Midi noobie.

The workflow reminds me of LPX AL & FL

I have a problem. I saw notes on the piano grid before when zooming with the mouse but I cannot see the notre anymore in the grid. How to reactivate that ? I see the notes on the piano left side, I see notes on the note if I go on it with the mouse but the note itself is not written on them automatically, giving clear info of what piano note is in the grid !

So can midi trigger a lighting scheme?

This video is well done, clear and very interesting. I ested with the keyboard controller and it works fine. Does not work Imitone as a midi device, but maybe the problem comes from Imitone.
