Groan.......😱🤬 Lidl USA Stores will be like an American grocery store. My wife and I won't go. We will stay with Aldi.

It seems like everyone loves Lidl you have to check your receipt because they overcharged you a lot of times and they advertise items but yet they never carry them or they are out of them and they don't give rain checks but all in all the stores okay

I loved the American version a dozen eggs for .59 a gallon of milk for 1.54 13 chicken legs for 2.50. unfortunately COVID and Biden killed all in my area

Carts at U.S. lidl, very small.

Lidl manager accused me of lying when there was a scanner error . The price was higher than the sign in the store. I was buying 6 units since I was originally happy with the price. When I complained the changed the sign and accused me of lying about the price…. Seriously you can’t make this shit up. It was a $2 difference. I cancelled the transaction on the spot. I prefer to shop where I am not accused of lying over 2 dollars. I have principles.

This chain will not succeed. They are bringing to the US the US style of grocery store that the US brought to Europe. Aldi has a separate niche, modest selection at rock bottom prices.

I remember going into an Aldi for the first time. I took a lap around the store and walked right out. Lidl on the other was more inviting and cleaner. I'll always be a Shop Rite kind of guy though.

It sounds like a place to avoid. I'm surprised how few people in the comments glossed over the issues mentioned in the video. I don't mind paying more at other stores if they treat their employees and vendors better. I'm in California, USA and shop almost exclusively at Safeway.

So I live in the home country of Aldi and Lidl and usually do my grocery shopping at neither of these.
But still great to know they eventually got to the US.

German grocery store workers have more rights than USA workers even despite their issues. So I think Lidl will improve worker conditions. Also Amazon in Germany has better worker rights. Workers in big international chains should communicate with each other in this new era.

They are I think opening one in Miami even, who knows if it works for them.

I went wild buying whatever I wanted and I was shocked by the prices. I only shop the sales and end up with a great variety of items for lunch and dinner. I'm glad many of their products are organic or sustainable.

Lidl is the only cheap grocery chain in Finland. We are very grateful for having many Lidl stores around the country.

Lidl this is not a good start
Lidl in Belleville New Jersey do not honer Lidl 10 dollars coupons and sales;
If you see and ask for, you have to return your stuff and scan again...
They either claim they forgot to scan or the scan is not working.
It happened to me and 3 other customers when I was there.
Looks organized with the word from upper management.
They Lidl also haz at the entrance the flyer from past week; you get that and think you get good sales but you don't, you had the wrong flyer and now you will be embarrassed to question.
If you do question you will be embarrassed again, because you got the wrong flyer...
The cashers are trained not to help and prompt over sales via phone app.
Lidl this is not a good start!

Ye I say Lee dl, didn't know they sold milk as a lost leader, that's disappointing as I rely like the supermarket otherwise.

I've worked for a Lidl DC in Ireland, and a Walmart DC in Wisconsin. All I can say is Lidl is better but only because there was more government oversight. They would be identical to Walmart if allowed to be.
