As an owner of many (lovely) Porsches over the years, I get very annoyed about having to pay for some of these ridiculous options - they should be standard on an expensive car! I would love to know how a car manufacturer can charge extra to paint the brake calipers a different colour to the original colour! How can black paint cost £500 more than red paint….? Bizarre.
ОтветитьMr. Harry, please do Nissan GT-R
ОтветитьI still don’t get why someone would want the parts that are the most vulnerable to stone chips in carbon fibre.
ОтветитьHad a look at them in the Bristol dealership earlier in the week. Looks lovely. Tighter inside than my 992 Turbo S (I’m 6’5”). He’s right about the view out of the front. Tops of side windows also lower than my 992. Very wide arse. Dealer not yet called me back to arrange a test drive nor to give me details of the V600 they had on concession sale. But he was hinting, without being prompted, that they’d accept offers on in stock cars (of which there were 6). No wonder they’re losing over £1m/day!
Ответить200 mph car that forces you to constantly look at a screen or touch buttons, yea that sounds like a genius idea
ОтветитьIt's more like a video game than a car. Give me something from 15 years ago. More fun and less useless, irritating technology.
ОтветитьToo hardcore for a man who road trips in a Countach?
ОтветитьWhat a review 👌 now waiting for Vanquish review and that V12 😎
Ответитьvery much like a beautiful mechanical watch face, a cluster with physical dials will always be infinately preferable to some 2d display trying to pretend to be the real thing, it just isn't, they look crap, I'd be very disappointed with a crappy lcd screen. I'd love to know what percentage of people think these massively costly digital clusters and infotainment systems are better than what they replaced. I don't think the layman realises how much all this pish costs.
ОтветитьHi hello Mr: Harry.
I have LR 2012 V8 -50 HSE
It's always breaking down and I fix it because I love it so much and I love this class of Land Rover I have no other choice. I like English engines. I am from Tobruk, Libya and studied at Cambridge College in 2007. Please I need help repairing my car.
Big love to all 🤍
Can you do an MX-5 miata? Or a Miata series? A can't afford a house, let alone an Aston.
ОтветитьFlawless design but for the rear end bump spoiler 'spoiled' the flow of the lines unlike the DB11.
ОтветитьLooks to die for ❤ Amazing Much better than any new Ferrari these days
ОтветитьWell if i saved up for years maybe i could afford the paint job 🤑
ОтветитьHarry, when are car reviewers like yourself going to call out these BS car manufacturers for things like plus 6500 pounds to get a different COLOUR paint ............. you lose any credibility for not doing so ...
ОтветитьThe extras is how the dealers make their money, that and selling you a finance package.
ОтветитьWhere’s the watch from!
ОтветитьHow did it get so heavy?!
ОтветитьI think it looks cool but at those prices theres much better cars available
ОтветитьNo dipstick?
ОтветитьHappy with my 2009 SL63 AMG
ОтветитьThis car is stunning. Big improvement over the outgoing one
ОтветитьI personally think the Vantage looks better than their new Flagship Vanquish, put that's just me. I've never driven either one so I have no idea, but on looks alone, this Vantage has some serious eye appeal. And 0-60 in 3.3 seconds! And a top speed of 202! That's supercar territory for a fairly reasonable price although I could never afford one as much as I truly would love to have one! Nice review Mr. Harry! Always love watching your videos.
ОтветитьI'm very impressed by the timepiece. Might we have a Harry's Watch video?
Ответить"Oh dear God! I'm doing the one thing that I swore that I would never do! I'm driving an American muscle car!"
ОтветитьToo aggressive lol
Or, harry, youre just too old !!
Best stay away from the corvette c8 z06 and the zr1 ! 😂
Interior is awful 🤢
Ответить£50,000 for a load of carbon tat and fancy brakes, sheesh
ОтветитьVery good video! Soon Aston Martin will become most shaped like bankrupt due to their finances and lance stroll. Thank you.
ОтветитьFerrari seems much more refined. The Aston display dials way too small. Its off putting. Im guessing Vantage is grand touring car. Personally the Ferrari seems better made.
ОтветитьLooks like a lot of torque steer and looks twitchy
ОтветитьFerrari seems a whole lot better. Bet in rain Aston a handful
ОтветитьThe Front Headlights look a bit too "friendly" for my Taste, dosent rly match the Rest of the Car.
ОтветитьHave driven this car and it was a “bombastic” kind of car, which might be a bit too hardcore for a GT/daily driver. The interior is an enormous step up from the last car, as is the performance envelope. £165k base price with steel brakes is also very punchy in my opinion. The competition (Ferrari Roma and 992 Turbo) have manufacturer developed and produced engines, whilst the Vantage has an admittedly impressive third party sourced power unit. I really liked the car, but if Aston Martin want to sell them, I think the price point is £20k/£25k too high - pitched against a well specced hybrid 992 GTS, I’d be very tempted to take the Aston.
ОтветитьAlways a pleasure to watch your videos Harry. Noting as I view…
Manual hatch back closure? Seriously?!
Why are we apparently obsessed with carbon fibre? Expensive to buy, expensive to repair. Surely a sportscar can be great without weave?
That centre console is chunky isn’t it? Yes, more buttons are welcome. But the screen, which should be delicate, looks lumpen.
The new Porsche GT3’s ‘Assist’ button looks ever more inspired…
Frameless rear view mirror looks good. Plastic shroud behind it less so.
Aston is a GT brand to my mind. There should surely be a GT bent to this car. Not everybody wants a firmly-sprung track aspirant.
600 horses and £161k? RIP the entry Aston…
But since I’m not in the market, AM can ignore all of the above. 🤪
Very pretty but my god why so much hp, unusuable levels. No wonder 911 gt3s are so rewarding, you can still use it on the road, and dont break the speed limit every time you press the accelerator.
ОтветитьToo heavy. Would be great if it was 1500kg.
ОтветитьOn broadcasts of F1TV as the F1 safety car, it sounds better than the cars being raced. The super busy interior is a pity, they should make the designers at AM drive Porsche for a month. Why no space inside the cabin?
Ответить"so many options to choose from". Not for mainstream cars - almost no options, just a few packs on a couple of trim levels. Gone are the days you can add a sunroof or some other single option for £500, now you have to spend £5k on a pack with 4 things you don't want.
ОтветитьWhat a shame there is no manual
ОтветитьAnd the new dash, yet again Aston has tooooo maaaanny buttttons
Ответить10K for ceramic rotors + another 1400 for black calipers? What is this, a rolling insult to the buyer's intelligence?
ОтветитьThat dashboard is a crime against design
ОтветитьToo modern and too much tech! Go buy a 2010 V12 manual
ОтветитьI have to turn off the driver aids each time I use the car ?
I'll stick to used cars thanks.
Looks a nice car, but the first and indeed only thing I thought when you opened the bonnet was "That looks like a nightmare to work on".
ОтветитьWell, that's the most boring engine bay I've ever seen on an Aston. might as well be a passat from that angle :-(
But OOoooh it sounds good 😀
These things look amazing
ОтветитьCan’t believe that I say this but a curb weight of 1740kg all in tested weight is actually very good nowadays for a luxury V8 GT sportscar. The AMG GT with the same engine weights more then 2 tons, the Bmw M8 weights more then 2 tons as well and Even a small coupe like a bmw M2 has a higher curb weight then that. The only lighter competitors are the Ferrari Roma at around 1650 fueled weight and new facelifted Porsche 992 GTS with about a fully fueled curb weight of 1640kg but only a 6 cilinder engine. And all those cars have less nice interiors then the Aston.
