I am sorry I brought this printer. Hooking up to a phone, bull...I had a printer, it was a cannon ❤ It hooked up to my tablet, or lab top. You have to go all out for apps and remember how to put it all together..😢

I have just connected this printer via home WiFi. Not even switching to printer's WiFi was needed. All I had to do thru the Smart HP app was to tell the printer what my WiFi network name is, also the password. This way everyone at home can setup this on their devices and print. No HP account needed what so ever.

You are correct but what if we want to setup the printer to my homes wifi? Do you know how to it?

It's asking for a password when I try to connect... how am I supposed to know that?!?!

when clicking on the Deskjet at the wifi level, does it have the same password as your wifi password? or does the Deskjet 3700 have some special password? because my phone is asking for a password at this level.

I have this printer too. Before I changed the ink I can print without using the HP App. But now, I can’t print straight from my files I have to open my HP account🤦‍♀️.
