What an entertaining, fast moving little B movie. One of Derek's first chances to be lead, I think. Also, Marianne is a surprisingly strong female lead for the time, playing a vital role in Robin's plans throughout.
ОтветитьJust a commie pretending to be good.
ОтветитьWow ... no accents .... that is a laugh in it's self .... only in America .... the only country on planet earth ... lol
ОтветитьAnd Bo Derek's last husband John Derek: RIP. Death. Died on May 22, 1998, of cardiovascular disease in Santa Maria, California at the age of 71.
ОтветитьThis is a beautiful movie showing the cinema Craft of that Time❤
Ответитьthis is a great film, along with the hammer film 'sword of sherwood forest' 1960 starring Peter Cushing.
Ответитьbut i think that King John of England reminds me a lot that of Donald Trump
ОтветитьWe don’t look to Hollywood movies for historical accuracy, however to be pedantic, no English monarch was referred to as Your Majesty at this time, he would be referred to as My Lord. Majesty did not come into usage at all until 300 years later in the reign of Henry VIII and even then the Tudor monarchs were mostly referred to directly as Your Grace.
Ответить
I don't remember Magna Carta being linked to Robin Hood ... or his son ... before. Neatly done ... and extremely logical.
ОтветитьVERY PLEASED TO SEE THIS MOVIE, AM GLAD I DID, THANK YOU, GREAT COLOUR PRINT.
Ответить59 min - "Women must not be forced into marriage without their consent"
ОтветитьNot much has changed regarding government and their taxes.
ОтветитьThis is Saturday afternoon double feature at the theatre stuff
ОтветитьJohn like being called, "Your majesty"; I bet Donald would like that, too.
ОтветитьPrince John Starmer!
ОтветитьWe watched Robin Hood every Wednesday in 1960s England starring Richard greene. We loved them. Although I've seen them recently as an adult dies make me laugh. But a product of its time so can't knock it. Anyway it was just for kids at the time.
ОтветитьA waste of time
ОтветитьGOOD MUSIC.
ОтветитьThanks. Good movie.
ОтветитьWatching this movie with John Derek as Robin Hood. His looks reminds me of actor Errol Flynn who played Robin Hood in 1938. Loved that classic movie. ❤😊
ОтветитьI didn't know Sherwood Forrest was populated with California Live Oaks!
ОтветитьHow I would love to have been born in the year 1950 instead of getting born in 1969 19 years later.
ОтветитьMovie is more like gangster al capone avoiding irs tax tax tax
ОтветитьIt's a beautiful movie to watch. Thank you.
ОтветитьHacksaws in 1216 ? . Great flick ! . Ta. Dave
ОтветитьGREAT MOVIE, NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SEE THIS PARTICULAR MOVIE, THANK YOU.
ОтветитьActually to avoid serious injury lances were made of wood that would break if too much force was used.
ОтветитьAnd they are the the democrats of today.
ОтветитьA rollicking tale showing that even in the days of so-called chivalry, there were dastardly deeds perpetuated at the highest levels of society with those "in power" ruthlessly ruling over the citizenry!
ОтветитьEnjoyed John Derek as Robin Hood! Thanks for sharing these films. A fun weekend indulgence.
ОтветитьThe script is surprisingly literate and historically accurate. Mariane is proactive, not just a damsel in distress waiting to be rescued. The acting, direction, production design and cinematography are far above average.
ОтветитьRobin had been formed the resistance group to claim back the people wealthy that'd being taken out by the force by King John, Richard younger brother that'd being claimed himself as righteous King of England bcoz he'd being plotted the lied information about the King Richard sadness had been killed by the poisoned arrow from the enermy archery squad n the Holy War at the Jerusalem wars battlefield.
ОтветитьIt'd being the history from people who'd being treated by the unfair rules from the King Richard had being gone to war in the Holy Wars that'd being joined by all the Christians alliance by the Western Empire soldiers country United to claim back the Jerusalem City's that'd being ruled by the Abbasid Caliphates soldiers who'd being the Muslims soldiers from the Arabic, Turkish, African United Islamic Republic army's. It'd being caused the massive battle had been happened caused the great losses of the human life's from both sided.
ОтветитьWhat he said. Thank you.🎭👍
ОтветитьThey were entertaining for the whole family, no outrageous language
ОтветитьAwesome film, Love it…❤️. My first time watching this, I’m glad I found this channel with old movies….lately that’s all I care to watch. Today’s movies, imho, can’t hold a candle to the older films. I’m tired of lewd language, sexual overtones, politically correct and CGI/AI garbage….all this doesn’t make a movie better, it only degrades it into oblivion. What happened to all those actors who were trying to make the film count for something? They blew away with the techno era of laziness, plus forget about quality, it’s the easier way out instead. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful film, it made my day brighter….👍❤️🙏🏼
ОтветитьThis 1950 film makes use of significant footage from a 1946 film "The Bandits of Sherwood Forest".
ОтветитьAlan Hale has been in more Robin Hood movies than Robin Hood, this was his last film, he died shortly after it at 57, way too young
Ответитьthese are the kind of movie that i man love 🎉🎉❤🙏🆗
ОтветитьWinston Marshall and Nancy pelsco
ОтветитьFun movie, I liked the joust at the start to show us Robin Jr's character. The actor sure is reminiscent of Flynn's looks, I love the casting. The funniest line, though, was an accident I suppose. Richard III's democratic principles, hilarious.
ОтветитьNice movie classic never see this one
ОтветитьThat's Alan Hale Sr. The one from Giligan Island is Alan Hale Jr.
ОтветитьMovies like this helps my mental health.
ОтветитьReally good entertainment value. Great fun! Excellent!
ОтветитьNever got a chance to watch this one. Never heard of it. Great to have the chance. John Derek was well served in athletic parts like this
