In fairness MOTD is so dated, it needs a massive facelift...that said i dont want to see a female presenter commenting on the mens matches, men for men,women for women.

The BBC continues to implode from within, their woke agenda is making more and more people cancel their licence, I think you will find the current host of Football Focus is in a relationship with a women who is a singer. Football focus viewing numbers have fell through the floor, does this not tell the BBC something? Oh it doesn't really matter it's not their money.

Lawrenson has been stagnant for the past fifteen years. And why should he choose who the next presenter should be? No one was complaining when one white male replaced another in his day. Things evolve and change all the time. Both boys and girls are engaged in football nowadays so young fashionable and knowledgeable presenters are a must and not Mark from the 70s.

It will be a black woman, in which case I won't be watching it any more. Sick of the BBC's sexism and racism.

Alex Scott shouldn't get it. She is the worst presenter on TV. She has nothing natural about her and she is hesitant. Her tone of voice grates on my ears. I haven't watched Football focus since she took over from Dan Walker.

We're at the point now where every panel has to have a woman on there whether it's football focus, FA Cup or Euros. It's really annoying. The same with Women's football being pushed down our throats. Personally I'm not interested. It should have its own place and doesn't need to be combined with men's football. Have a separate show and if people want to watch it they will. I won't.

Men and womens football is great to watch as long as you accept they are different. Putting females into commenting on mens game and vice versa is like asking a cricket commentator to comment on snooker !!

There is the odd exception, Gabby Logan for example, but in most cases the woman just don't have the knowledge. Its not about sexism, its just realism. There are some subjects where the ideal host is a woman, where their expertise is of a higher level. This whole equality stuff is a joke. The truth is we aren't equal. The beauty is our differences. Different interests, different emotions, different skills. But diversity has trumped ability. Being the best for the job now means nothing compared to your race or gender

Keep men off commentary with women’s games and keep women off men’s matches, I do not want to hear a woman calling a men’s match it just ruins the whole vibe of the match and doesn’t fit right.

It wouldnt bother me if a woman takes over MOTD. As long as its somebody competent like Gabby Logan or Laura Woods. I dont think Alex Scott should get it - not because shes female or black but because I simply don't rate her presenting skills.

Lineker, Hanson and Lawro will always be the motd high water mark for me. For replacements I just want to the best available, regardless of race or gender. If that's 3 white males or 3 ethnic minorities doesn't matter, as long as they are the best.

Yes, nothing against female presenters/pundits but the ones that are in place now are poor quality and seemingly in place for PC/show. The woman commentator on BTSport have no knowledge and an awful voice for commentary (nothing against northernes).

I haven’t watched football focus in years and that was part of ny growing up and education for the game they had top top ex professionals on there teaching and explaining the game so that a child could even learn and understand. Only the best ex footballing minds and talents should get these roles not because of how you look or funny you are it’s about football
