Are you going to Holy Mount Athos as well? My Nicky went on otpust there in 1966, when he was 16. I have been on otpust to the Holy Land at Easter (as has Nicky), and stayed at the Russian convent on the Mount of Olives. I was in tears when I venerated the relics of Ss Yelizaveta and Varvara (my heavenly patroness). Do NOT miss the monastery of Mar Sabbas in the desert. Russia and it's people are so beautiful. If I were to ever go and visit or live it would have to be in parts like on this video. The countryside is magnificent. No wonder Russians are so proud. I would be too.

the more i study Russian and learn Russia's culture and seeing these photos today, i think Russia does a far better job to harmonize all ranges of people than the so called "cultural melting pot" US. Russia seems so much at peace with its people - a bit of political struggle here and there like the recent days but I think I respect Russia a whole lot more than the laughing-stock-of-the-world country.Отдых в мире. to your brother, but i don't think words can describe...Спасибо за фотографии.
