After 7 seasons in the WHA, the Edmonton Oilers, along with rookie defenceman Kevin Lowe, are getting ready for their first NHL season - Lowe scored the Oilers' 1st goal in the season opener against the Chicago Black Hawks on October 10, 1979 (Chicago won 4-2)
