I looked all the information I could and found that no one in command staff leadership was held accountable for putting that outpost at the bottom of a valley where it completely surrounded by hills on all sides. Who thought that was a tactically good idea? Then they all get away free with no accountability. Very sad 😢.

I have a friend from Afghanistan. now he is in USA. He says that a lot of Afghans want the US to be back there. The country is backward now, including no education for women and suppression there. Based on my research on Afghanistan, I agree as well. Do you know why India and Sri Lanka are ahead in education, infrastructure, and speaking English because the British were there for some time :) Even though Western countries are there for resources and benefits, they bring the countries to the future. So it is a give and take.

I learned that some of those soldiers who were there that day are in this movie. Incredible. Well deserved place in history.

Their outpost was an ideal ambush site due to its geographical feature..

Few problems with the first fight. Yunger wasn’t firing anywhere near dudes head. It was enemy rounds buzzing his helmet. 2nd when they called for ammo they said LRAZ 2 needs ammo. LRAZ 2 is a 50 caliber. They didn’t call for 240 ammo. If that sergeant had kicked a lower enlisted man like that he would be out of the military immediately. This movie, while good, made him look like a stupid asshole.

Great movie. Only thing I seemed to notice was they didn't have the F-15E's, Warthogs, AC-130H, drones, and other aircraft. That was one of my favorite parts of the book and of the story. The massive conglomerate of aircraft doing bombing runs, gun runs, and just putting a strain on the enemy to help turn the tide of the battle. Also one of the most important parts of the story.
