This is only a Black British thing, Grenadians, Jamaicans and Africans in the uk, by and large, have children with their black women counterparts.
Unless the video was framed as a 'Black family gathering,' then let them continue.

Ironically, in the white community it's tanned skin that's worshipped. The grass is always greener.

I agree. Someone that is light skinned is black with a lighter complexion Mixed race is mixed race not light skinned. The Caribbean community is very mixed now and it is what it is. I don’t know why BW care what BM do or with who.

I'm just going to need people to stop blaming slavery that no one alive ever endured but over the last 80 years in the UK we've seen black males create the biggest half black population in history, transfer wealth they've acquired to the white community, and introduce a colour caste system within the black community via bringing in their mixed race children and biracial girlfriends rather than building something for them given their are so many of them. Black males did all of that in the last 80 years so we shouldn't tolerate hearing deflections because of sLaVeRy, and what they're not able to do because of racism, because they've been doing alot.

As a black man, I definitely have love for black women. But I gotta be honest, there's mixed messaging that comes from them. One on hand they uplift themselves (which's fine) & sometimes go to the point of saying bm aren't needed/ we're some sort of burden. But then on the other hand, they'll say "black men don't protect black women". Do you want us on your side or no? And if they want us on their side, it's probably not a good idea to kick our heads in

Last week I brought my 11 year old daughter to a Birthday party, she was the only full black child, all the rest were mixed, it wasn't a problem until the YT mother's made her feel excluded then I noticed all the mixed little girls excluding her from games and making jokes ? I just cut , wont see her again , these little girls cleary made her feel like a outsider, learnt behaviour from the mother's, it is what it is good call out !

Is preference for light skin versus dark skin a form of colorism?

For everyone in denial about a “preference for light skin” the FACTS indicate:

Yes, a preference for light skin over dark skin is indeed a form of colorism. Colorism refers to the social and cultural bias that privileges lighter skin tones over darker ones, often within the same racial or ethnic group. This preference can manifest in various ways, including:

1. **Beauty Standards**: Many societies promote lighter skin as more desirable, leading to the idealization of light-skinned individuals in media, fashion, and beauty industries.

2. **Social Hierarchies**: Colorism can create social stratifications where individuals with lighter skin may receive preferential treatment in areas such as employment, education, and social interactions.

3. **Internalized Racism**: Individuals within marginalized communities may internalize these biases, leading to feelings of inferiority among those with darker skin tones and a desire to conform to lighter skin ideals.

4. **Cultural Implications**: Colorism can impact relationships, self-esteem, and identity, contributing to divisions within communities and perpetuating stereotypes.

5. **Historical Context**: The roots of colorism are often tied to colonialism, slavery, and systemic racism, where lighter skin was associated with privilege and power, while darker skin was linked to oppression and subjugation.

Addressing colorism requires challenging societal beliefs and norms surrounding skin tone, promoting inclusivity, and celebrating the beauty and diversity of all skin colors.

'Most men marry the beauty, while most women marry the lifestyle.'
It is what it is.
⚠️
Unfortunately for UDSBW (Unambiguous Dark Skin Black Women) it's quite the opposite : in order to marry "attractive" partners (with "good hair" and "fair skin") they must become "providers".

as a black man i like black women but also white. The problem is black celebrities, artists, footballers etc prefer white or light skin which I don't think its to do with internalised racism but I guess unfortunately white/light skin women are high status so they 'pick' the best.

Ofc as a black women you'd wonder why. I reckon this will only change when black women status in society increase because they are lots of beautiful black women but white/light skin are more prevalent.

It’s not so much the kids as it is black fathers. If it was black women with their light/mixed kids there would be no uproar!

A lot of black women dismiss mixed people (especially the females of any age) if their mother isn’t black! It’s ridiculous!

weird patterns with urban UK artists ,its so in your face its hard to ignore, should have have just changed the lyrics to i love my mixed children and kept it pushing . No doubt these men will want their daughters to date black , the video (mostly) sends the message that black men can only be fathers to non black children (for the 1 droppers : i am not talking about how people identify/what racial side they're on, i am speaking about 2 black parent BLACK children specifically) and not children that share their actual features/heritage. NO i do not think that's true, but that is what the message in THAT video with those particular men convey.

My issue is with the thumbnail: the lighter skinned mixed race looking bro is holding a child of very similar skin tone, hair texture etc.

While I ultimately think consenting adults of whatever skin tone can date if they want to:

I see where you’re going with the darker bros, but we lighter skinned bros have nothing to do with this.

My mama was about Meghan Markel’s skin tone, my wife is fair skinned, and my children are lighter skinned as well.

Darker skinned people need to have this conversation amongst themselves and leave us lighter bros out of it! 😂

And the women complaining have dark skinned black fathers. But they are not rich rappers so they don’t count. When they complain about black men not being with black women it’s seems their own fathers don’t seem to count in the conversation. Why is that? These miserable women complaining about that video don’t like the dark skinned black men that like them. Let’s have that conversation.

The majority of the children are light skinned Griffes or light skinned Sacatras. Griffes and Sacatras can be brown skinned or dark skinned, and still have partial mixed ancestry. Question, why are the Afro-Caribbean children promoted and showcased in the media have to have some type of direct mix or direct admix? Is this not another mixed race agenda? The preferred new Black especially for Afro-Caribbeans, whether they be light skinned, brown skinned or dark skinned are mixed/admixed????
You telling me most Afro-Caribbeans as well as West Africans have a grandparent or even great grandparent of another ethnicity? Or of mixed race?
See the agenda...
It's all an agenda designed by the elite.

Can't we just focus on a generation of black fathers that are breaking stereotypes that plauged the older generation of the black british carribean community. Regardless of skin colour, those children will be better off for having present fathers. People need to focus on their own lives.

If a Lightskn BM is with a lightskn BW, he's with the womn that looks like him or his mother- plus it seens like the majority of BW have made it clear that they don't want lightskn BM. Darkskn BM on the other hand bash their female counterparts - and chase lightskn womn the most.

Black men don’t love themselves. If you love black women then you would be with one. They want to erase their DNA. They gaslight dark skinned black women to make it seem like its preference but I know it’s not that. Let them go and don’t fight for them. I wish black women with a black mother and father would stop talking about them and leave them alone. Don’t even look their way.
