Hey, I have a problem that maybe you can help. I'm torn between buying the Sony ZV-1 and the Sony ZV-E10. My price range is very low, about $200 - $500 (I'm buying from the used market) so the ZV-E10 is a stretch price wise. Is the ZV-E10 really worth the extra? I'm new to videography and cinematography so I want a camera that I can easily afford now but still use later on in life when I expand my gear. Do you think I should get the ZV-1 or the ZV-E10? (Feel free to ask follow up questions)

At this point so much content is out and we consume so much daily. So much that majority of people don't even notice what kind of camera one uses, nor do they care. Don't believe me? Look at TikTok. It's all about content. This vlogger type content is so common that we don't see the amount of work it takes to create this review here.

So, if you were going to buy one camera & only own one camera, then I'd say the E10

Quite biased review I'd say. We have 5 ZV-E10s and 2 ZV-1s in our studio. The ZV-1s spend their time in the garbage bin, while the ZV-E10 can produce cinema-quality with the right lens...
The built in lens is absolutely bad in any way, but our reason is:

We film podcast material and other content with many guests (up to 6) in a studio env. ZV-1 stops recording because it heats up every 30 minutes. So if you need to shoot with other people in any enviroment you should use ZV-1 only as a 1080p camera as I would consider it practically unusable at 4K.

Also probably many people bought the ZV-1 because you said ZV-E10 splits files, which is .... yeah, read a bit about SD card formatting, that's literally providing false information.

Im a mum who wants to put the iphone away and not have it around me all the time, the only reason I have it on me at all times is to take photos and vids of my little one. I want to replace it with a good and light camera. Both these options seem great. I do have a sony alpha which I rarely use as its so heavy to lag around. since I have that camera and a few lenses, would the ZV-E10 be a better option for me?

I don't think these two cameras should be compared. The E10 is way bigger in size and then add a lens to it and it's not compact and portable, weighing over double, if not much more. than the ZV1. The ZV1 is for people who want a very capable camera to take EVERYWHERE! It's under 300 grams and fits in your pocket. It's for a completely different use than the E10! People who buy the ZV1 don't care about the interchangeable lens factor, THEY WANT PORTABILITY.
Compare the eE10 to the A6000 series, like the A6700, etc...

Do both cameras have built in flash or nah?
