Thank you for this! 😇
ОтветитьAs a student that hoes to a school where joining a club is required in my grade level and the club i so happened to choose takes portions of my day this really helped
ОтветитьIt anyone wants a more visual way to get a sense of how long things take you, resteoactively update your calendar throughout the day instead of timing yourself. This has helped me HEAPS, especially since I always forget to stop the timer :) retroactive time-blocking gives me a minute to reflect on what I've been doing and what I'm about to do when task switching, as well as showing visually how long I spend doing certain things. Over time it helps me optimise my future schedule because I know, on average, how big those blocks of time should be and when in the week (or month, for my ladies) I should schedule those things. Still flexible, but flows with my energy too.
ОтветитьI needed this. I’ve never used a calendar or schedule in my life and it has only caused me to be excessively stressed, to forget things and to procrastinate all the time. I’m starting my first year of college in a couple of days and want to get my shit together. Thank you!!!
Ответитьthis was such an amazing video for students. I always make my schedules very rigid and dont follow them and since starting college , I have also been struggling about spending time with friends and taking time out to study at the same time. Thank you so much.
ОтветитьWhat would be the app to is E easily by dragging tasks into the calendar and an app that lets to integrate work and personal emails? I tried use Plan and found it amazing but it still needs a way to go since t doesn't syncronize well, now using ticktick but I found it not easy to use as well.
ОтветитьAnd those videos are not meant for working people with kids and at the same time studying for professional exams such as PE :)
Ответитьthis is actually the first time that i find this kind of video useful as a student, great job
ОтветитьYet you don’t show any apps that you use…
ОтветитьI am also stressed despite having my calendar quite organized. My brain doesn’t understand the idea “jot things down so you don’t have to think about them” it does so anyways🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🥲 (welcome on the overthinker boat 🚤, sleepless nights and constant stress included)
ОтветитьWhich app did you use? 😮
ОтветитьI think l have been doing this but not effectively. So this should be helpful for me moving forward.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video!! I’ve been struggling to plan my day and I always wondered why none of the tips I tried from other videos worked for me. Especially with my exams coming up, this is such a useful video! Thank you <3
ОтветитьAh the student life, you will do anything except learning, especially organizng your "busy" schedule.
ОтветитьNote to self
1. Time yourself

2. Calendar or piece of paper or on phone with Google Calendar
1. Capture new tasks and deadlines as soon as you get it
2. Plan your day based on what needs to be done
3. Schedule/ Move all other tasks to future days in the calendar
3. 4 rules
1. It has to be { Flexible }
2. It needs to be { Easy to restart after periods of neglect }
3. It has to { Reduce stress }
⁃ Immediately record any tasks, deadlines and ideas that we get
“Your mind is for having ideas, not holding them.” - David Allen

➪ We have to pick and choose what’s important for us
➪ Make informed decisions when it matters
which app did he use for scheduling stuff?
ОтветитьI wish I saw this video before school started this year…
ОтветитьIt helps but I forget a lot how will I correct that
ОтветитьIs there a video for non students ?
ОтветитьThe idea of flexibility blew me i have such a fomo even for minial tasks that it always leads to overwhelm
ОтветитьLiterally the absolute best thing for a struggling student. Wish I had found this sooner as a nursing student.
ОтветитьGreat video, thank u for this!
ОтветитьHaving a good organization as a student depends on the Major you are in. Most of Cajun's tips about time management, organization, taking notes, etc. are only fully applicable if you are a medical student major. If you are an Education Major or English Literature Major, those mentioned previously are not really fully applicable.
Ответитьits a great video, i was searching like this from a long time
ОтветитьWhat app were you using?
ОтветитьNote to self:
Play BOTW
Okay love this. But, don’t put it in your smart phone. Mine and my husbands phones keep getting rid of our calendar appointments. Grr
ОтветитьDoes anyone know what app he's using for the calendar.
ОтветитьI think the things still apply, but being a student requires tradeoffs. These things at the start of the video are still very, very important
ОтветитьIs that google calendar or which app?
ОтветитьPara quem quiser saber sobre produtividade e organização, no meu canal eu faço uns vídeos bem legais sobre, em português, espero que gostem.
Ответитьthis was so helpful!!
ОтветитьFinally, i’ve been using this method to manage my time and study and i’ve always been not sure about it. Thanks for this short, helpful video! I’m going to start measuring how long does it take to do a task so i can make use of my day as a student. 🎉🎉
ОтветитьThe tips in this video are game-changing, not just for students but anyone who struggles with procrastination and being organized. Planning each day in advance using a calendar is such a simple concept yet could make a huge difference. Kudos for sharing this invaluable advice!
ОтветитьThere’s always that time when you think at night, you know what Imma plan my day tomorrow. Until next day you can’t wake up on the exact time you wanted to wake up…
ОтветитьIt sucks because it not me who is making a schedule
Ответитьwhat app are you using in this video??
ОтветитьLove this guy and his idea!!!
ОтветитьWhat calendar app are you using ?
ОтветитьNc
ОтветитьIs he just using the apple calendar on his phone?
ОтветитьWell I think I’m a big fan right now
ОтветитьHow's biology science and computer science, please 🙏 am in between choose this two majors
Ответитьevery piece of advice has been invaluable, thank you.
ОтветитьTitle: The Importance of Organization and Simplification: Time, Calendars, and 4 Rules
Introduction: Being organized and keeping things simple can make our lives easier and less stressful. In this information, we will explore the importance of organization and simplification, with a focus on timing ourselves, using calendars, and following four important rules. Let's dive in!
Timing Yourself: One way to stay organized is by timing ourselves. When we time how long it takes to do things like homework or chores, we get a better understanding of how much time we need. For example, if we find out that it takes us 20 minutes to brush our teeth and get dressed, we can plan accordingly and not be late for school.
Using Calendars: Calendars are helpful tools for staying organized. Whether it's a paper calendar or a digital one on our phones like Google Calendar, writing down tasks and deadlines keeps us on top of our responsibilities. We can plan our day based on what needs to be done and even move tasks to different days if needed. This helps us manage our time effectively.
The 4 Rules:
Be Flexible: Sometimes things don't go as planned, and that's okay. Being flexible means we can change our plans when something unexpected comes up. It helps us adapt and solve problems efficiently.
Easy to Restart: We all have moments when we forget or stop doing our tasks. The important thing is to make it easy to start again later. We can use reminders or notes to keep track of what we need to do, so we don't miss anything important.
Reduce Stress: Writing down tasks, deadlines, and ideas is a great way to reduce stress. When we put these things on paper or in a calendar, we don't have to worry about forgetting them. It helps us have a clear mind and feel calmer.
Prioritize Tasks: Not everything we have to do is equally important. By prioritizing tasks, we can focus on what's truly essential and make good decisions when it matters. This helps us manage our time and energy effectively.
Succinct Summary: Being organized and simplifying our lives are essential for reducing stress and managing our time well. Timing ourselves, using calendars, and following the four rules of flexibility, easy restart, stress reduction, and task prioritization can help us stay organized and accomplish our goals more efficiently.
Actionable Guidance:
Start timing activities and tasks to understand how long they take.
Use a calendar (paper or digital) to track tasks, deadlines, and appointments.
Embrace flexibility and be willing to adapt your plans when needed.
Make it easy to restart tasks by using reminders or notes.
Write down tasks, deadlines, and ideas to reduce stress and maintain a clear mind.
Prioritize tasks and focus on what's most important to achieve your goals effectively.
Remember, our mind is for having ideas, not holding them. By staying organized and simplifying our lives, we can free up mental space to be more creative and productive.
