It anyone wants a more visual way to get a sense of how long things take you, resteoactively update your calendar throughout the day instead of timing yourself. This has helped me HEAPS, especially since I always forget to stop the timer :) retroactive time-blocking gives me a minute to reflect on what I've been doing and what I'm about to do when task switching, as well as showing visually how long I spend doing certain things. Over time it helps me optimise my future schedule because I know, on average, how big those blocks of time should be and when in the week (or month, for my ladies) I should schedule those things. Still flexible, but flows with my energy too.

I needed this. I’ve never used a calendar or schedule in my life and it has only caused me to be excessively stressed, to forget things and to procrastinate all the time. I’m starting my first year of college in a couple of days and want to get my shit together. Thank you!!!

What would be the app to is E easily by dragging tasks into the calendar and an app that lets to integrate work and personal emails? I tried use Plan and found it amazing but it still needs a way to go since t doesn't syncronize well, now using ticktick but I found it not easy to use as well.

I am also stressed despite having my calendar quite organized. My brain doesn’t understand the idea “jot things down so you don’t have to think about them” it does so anyways🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🥲 (welcome on the overthinker boat 🚤, sleepless nights and constant stress included)

Having a good organization as a student depends on the Major you are in. Most of Cajun's tips about time management, organization, taking notes, etc. are only fully applicable if you are a medical student major. If you are an Education Major or English Literature Major, those mentioned previously are not really fully applicable.

Title: The Importance of Organization and Simplification: Time, Calendars, and 4 Rules

Introduction: Being organized and keeping things simple can make our lives easier and less stressful. In this information, we will explore the importance of organization and simplification, with a focus on timing ourselves, using calendars, and following four important rules. Let's dive in!

Timing Yourself: One way to stay organized is by timing ourselves. When we time how long it takes to do things like homework or chores, we get a better understanding of how much time we need. For example, if we find out that it takes us 20 minutes to brush our teeth and get dressed, we can plan accordingly and not be late for school.

Using Calendars: Calendars are helpful tools for staying organized. Whether it's a paper calendar or a digital one on our phones like Google Calendar, writing down tasks and deadlines keeps us on top of our responsibilities. We can plan our day based on what needs to be done and even move tasks to different days if needed. This helps us manage our time effectively.

The 4 Rules:

Be Flexible: Sometimes things don't go as planned, and that's okay. Being flexible means we can change our plans when something unexpected comes up. It helps us adapt and solve problems efficiently.

Easy to Restart: We all have moments when we forget or stop doing our tasks. The important thing is to make it easy to start again later. We can use reminders or notes to keep track of what we need to do, so we don't miss anything important.

Reduce Stress: Writing down tasks, deadlines, and ideas is a great way to reduce stress. When we put these things on paper or in a calendar, we don't have to worry about forgetting them. It helps us have a clear mind and feel calmer.

Prioritize Tasks: Not everything we have to do is equally important. By prioritizing tasks, we can focus on what's truly essential and make good decisions when it matters. This helps us manage our time and energy effectively.

Succinct Summary: Being organized and simplifying our lives are essential for reducing stress and managing our time well. Timing ourselves, using calendars, and following the four rules of flexibility, easy restart, stress reduction, and task prioritization can help us stay organized and accomplish our goals more efficiently.

Actionable Guidance:

Start timing activities and tasks to understand how long they take.
Use a calendar (paper or digital) to track tasks, deadlines, and appointments.
Embrace flexibility and be willing to adapt your plans when needed.
Make it easy to restart tasks by using reminders or notes.
Write down tasks, deadlines, and ideas to reduce stress and maintain a clear mind.
Prioritize tasks and focus on what's most important to achieve your goals effectively.
Remember, our mind is for having ideas, not holding them. By staying organized and simplifying our lives, we can free up mental space to be more creative and productive.
