In the Mexican state of Tamaulipas the cartels are using IEDs so much that the US State Department has issued warnings to avoid traveling on dirt roads down there and not to go there at all if possible.

I have been expecting IEDs here in the US for years, though by Islamic terrorists rather than the cartels and gangs. Looks like its the latter who are more likely to bring that lovely practice to us.
