They tried changing their name several years ago. Apparently "pofung" is closer to what "Baofeng" should sound like, when pronounced in English. I have a couple of radios from a few years back that are labeled Pofung, but they didn't stick with the change very long

The trouble with Baofangs is its all NFM, no AM no SSB no WFM. no CW, no morse or RTTY decoding. and of course 2m and 70cm [spit]
