This was great thanks. I was actually trying to talk to the children earlier about doing things for themselves that I know they’re capable of. It’s a lot on top of my hectic necessary work schedule to have to do all the little things I KNOW they can do. It feels like I’m overloaded! I told them it’s my job as their parent to help them to learn to do things for themselves!! X

I get a lot out of what you share that I apply to my own life/household/family. This video’s tips can also save you money since it’s about simplifying life choices/options and, in turn, purchases. Besides Summer Camp, my daughter only has one extracurricular activity. We too also highly limit screen time and have stopped buying toys. I’be also been investing for a long time in helping my now 4.5 year old be as independent as possible. One family thing we do that doesn’t cost money is visiting parks/playgrounds and those with splash pads or fun farms here in the Summer.

I think you are right about over scheduling you're kids.Also about down sizing clothing.I do this in my life.
