When would be a good the best time to plant my new white double daffodils? They already sent them NW AL 7B it’s nice and cool now
ОтветитьThanks Jim, we are very dry in NW Arkansas. I have watered a little but not sure about now.
ОтветитьGood morning Jim and Stephany 😊 I am really excited about this new series! Full of a lot of great information. Thank you for sharing. 🍃🍂🍁
ОтветитьI like this ‘bite-sized’ video format! Lot of info in short amount of time. Thanks!
ОтветитьSouth/ish East UK here (anglia) the zoning map says 8a equivalent. So far this Autumn... The squirrels digging up some of our bulbs 😑. There is a HUGE oak behind our garden so lots of squirrels about. The UK from September to following April/May is very wet. So using our greenhouse to control moisture a bit in stuff in containers. And cross fingers to see what comes back up in the spring perennial flower wise out in the beds. Not risking planting anything till spring as its saturated clay.
ОтветитьLOVE your weekly garden planner! Totally recommend. We are seasoned gardeners but still find lots of great, timely reminders! 🍂🌻🌞
ОтветитьLove this idea and great timely information!
ОтветитьI haven’t planted a thing this fall here in SE Virginia because of the dryness. Except for my new Double Play Doozy Spireas, my watering is minimal. This morning it was 44 deg!
ОтветитьReally enjoyed this! I like the 5 minute quick, seasonal tip idea.
ОтветитьGreat video Jim. Up here in southeast PA, we are roughly 10 days from setting records for rain-free periods. Nearly a month with no reported rainfall in Philadelphia by later next week!
ОтветитьLove the short video Fri idea!
ОтветитьI'm from Missouri and love the Botanical Garden! Thanks for visiting!
ОтветитьDRY in northeast Mississippi!!! Even watering trees!
ОтветитьBeautiful garden! ❤❤❤ love this idea!

ОтветитьJim I'm thrilled you came to the Missouri Botanical Garden! I'm lucky enough to live nearby and can visit often. I really is amazing and I hope all the gardeners here get to visit some day!
ОтветитьIn Missouri here and we are so dry!! I watch all your videos and learned so much. Excited for new 5 min Fridays videos!!!❤

ОтветитьGreat idea. 5 min Friday
ОтветитьLove it! Great idea.
ОтветитьWhat’s the latest I can put Emperor 1 maples in the ground?
ОтветитьThanks as I really like these 5 minute Friday videos.
ОтветитьThank you! Seeing what we're not doing regarding watering. Also, been to the MO gardens, a beautiful place.
ОтветитьI've always thought autumn watering [during dry spells] gives plants such a good start into dormancy. Wherever I've lived, I've not seem many others do this. Seems common sense to me to protect my investment of time and money. I am certain that is why I've had good success pushing my zone 6a.
ОтветитьExcellent information as always. Looking forward to the new series.
ОтветитьKeeping Jim speaking for only five minutes? Good luck with that! 😂
Ответитьlove this series❤❤
Ответитьlol this is what I’m doing right now as I just planted lots of shrubs this year, timer on my phone. Great advice. Hope my newbies make it through the winter!
ОтветитьGreat advice on watering a very important topic.Thet I need to get better at. I love the new series five minute fridays. That's awesome.
ОтветитьWe’ve had just a 1 1/2 inches of rain in the past three months in my part of north central MO. Luckily I have a three acre pond and a 1/2 yard font end loader. Next year, I’m putting in an irrigation system drawing from the pond.
ОтветитьHello, everyone gardeners friends. Happy Halloween 🎃 🎃.
ОтветитьVery dry in north Georgia! I'm wondering if my Pulmonaria should be let to dry down for the winter 🤔
Even my super tough Calico Asters are pitiful. They seem to be the honeybee's favorite.
I have visited the Missouri Botanical Garden website many times, thank you for a look at their gardens! Fall watering tips very helpful.
ОтветитьAfter a steady increase from the beginning of the year, our precipitation amount has flatlined since the first week of August (NJ 7A).
ОтветитьFaithful viewer here in Greensboro. My husband is from St Louis. We love the Missouri Botanical garden too!
ОтветитьExcellent! 🤓So helpful to us gardening newbies. Thank you!
ОтветитьI love this idea for a new series. Genius!
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful place.
ОтветитьOhhh my gosh would absolutely love to see Missouri Botanical Garden. I reference them all the time. Would love to visit. From Ontario Canada 🇨🇦.😮
ОтветитьGood idea, 5 min Friday
ОтветитьLove the new series, Jim and Stephany! It's nice and dense with info, like an avocado 🥑 is with nutrients 😂
ОтветитьLove those gardens!
ОтветитьI live outside of Boston. It rained just a few days this month so far and we winterized our irrigation last week. We aren't expecting rain until 10/31. I wonder how often I should water shrubs, etc. Should I be watering in November too? We also have much less than avg rain in Sept and Oct.
ОтветитьThanks for that minute at the end. Bird singing and lots of plants, beautiful.
ОтветитьJim, Steph,
Had to laugh--I was about to jokingly comment that the video was longer than 5-minutes...then I saw the spoiler. 😆
