BIG Nintendo Switch 2 Problem & Game Updates!

Switch 2 will get the 1st party games but will then get only older games from 3rd party. it won't be able to keep up with the new games as the are released. How could it? Nintendo continues to put out a product that is years behind their competition. They need to get back to making a true console and a gameboy alongside it

While I am beyond excited for P4R. I really hope Nintendo confirm it comes to S2 in a Direct. I loved P4, but the reason it became one of my favorite games of all time was because of Golden on the Vita. Persona games on the couch and on the go are immaculate


P3R came to Steam and you can play on the deck. But that brings up another problem in my opinion. Atlus does some stellar Collectors Editions. And with P3R I had to buy the game on Steam since that's my main platform. But also on PS5 because I wanted the Collectors Edition of the game and physical copy. Will be suck a missed opportunity if Persona 4 Revival doesn't come to Nintendo Switch 2

Yeah, most of they don't be coming to NS2. There's just not enough power on a ps4 le el, rtx 2050 console sorry.

Game Freak has always been talented in general as developers. "Nintendo doesn't own Gamefreak." thankfully as Nintendo would let them languish, only making Pokemon. I will be buying this as Harmoknight and Pulse Man were both great.
I will be buying this as Game Freak has proven their talent in general.

Hopefully nothing will be censored in Revival like it was in Reload.

Switch 2 will be fine and do well, probably 80-100 million units before it’s all said and done. But the glory days are over. Get over it. Switch 2 is already under powered and in two years new hardware will be dropping. I’m not getting a switch 2, I have a switch. I’m on my PC and the novelty of having my games in hand held is not only available with other, better devices for me, it’s also spent. Not my thing. We aren’t coming back. These ports aren’t gonna happen. By 2027 I’ll be on new hardware and the hardware I use now blows the switch out of the water. No way I’m playing a stripped version of CP2077.

It’s over but Nintendo will be fine.

And as a die hard Persona 3 FES fan I despise reload. It annihilated the atmosphere and the music was all wrong.

Alot of games made for gen 9 only will either skip switch 2 or get heavily nerfed versions

Not sure if NS2 could handle the new games I saw. But I definitely saw that they would release some of the new games on the Switch.

I think there's more rage on Mario Kart cause people know it won't even touch the 50% discount. People I think are angry at any $80 games. There's another very big difference between Mario Kart and Outer World 2. Mario IP is just popular and rated for everyone. Outer World seems edgy and has a very specific fanbase. So practically more population means more are affected. While Outer Worlds 2 is just a 2 year wait to 50% off and around 8 years to 75% off.

I'm not so optimistic about Atlus games releasing on the Switch 2. Atlus had plenty of time to port Persona 3 Reload to the Switch 2, but they didn't. They had plenty of time to prepare a Switch 2 edition for Persona 5 Royal, but they didn't. And since dev kits for the console have been around for a while (Raidou is releasing on the Switch 2), it stands to reason that the reason these games aren't coming to the Switch 2 isn't due to the availability of dev kits. I'm not sure why, but I imagine Microsoft has a deal with Sega to keep these games from Nintendo for a while.

The third party support will end quickly again 😂

Literally most ps3/x360 game ran better but now even a remaster (not remake) from oblivion didn't came to the original switch.

The reason: you are not being neutral, you are talking from a nintendo fan PoV. Switch 2 is very likely going to miss a lot of third party games for multiple reasons.

One, the old ones like hogwarts legacy and cyberpunk have sttutering and are barely targeting 30fps with noticeable visual cuts, the newer ones are less optimized, rely on heavier engines.

Also, switch 2 has no installbase. It is a bad idea to invest so much into ports for newer games for a machine that has no installbase yet.

If you want third party ports, the thing needs to gain traction and that won't be clear after year 1. If the thing ends up selling well, ports will start rolling on year 3

Yeah I expect a lot of those 3rd party games to get announced at a future Nintendo Direct. Probably even see some Xbox games get shown at the same direct like The Outer Worlds 2

I would be more ok with the $80 price tag if gaming studios went back to actually releasing the game fully completed.

Most games are not fully finished until 2 to 3 years after release, once patch after patch after patch has been released. Most of the time, it is more beneficial to just hold off buying games until a few years after the initial release, so you get the benefit of playing a more polished and complete game. The fact that they are trying to move to all digital and the added benefit for the devs and studio of the Internet, means they really have no real incentive to fully finish a game anymore, they can just get it out to the public, do a day one patch then promise to "support the game for the next few years with quality of life features and updates". And some games clearly have cut content so they can artificially release DLC that should have been in the main game to suck more money out of you, this trend is normally in most Japanise anime games or RPG's like the Atelia series for example where to get the full content you are having to pay 3 times the price for the game

On the $80 dollar price point: it’s coming to game pass. So essentially, the $80 is only mandatory on platforms outside the Xbox ecosystem where game pass is unavailable (Xbox competitors). It’s essentially an incentive to get game pass/play on a Microsoft platform. It’s not a Nintendo thing😂.

We'll likely get Persona 4 announced for Switch 2 once they announce Persona 3 Reload for it in the next Direct. I'm assuming they'll throw in Metaphor ReFantazio too.

Haters gonna hate. Got my S2 yesterday and I'm genuinely impressed with the screen, graphics and overall build quality. It feels like a proper successor to the Switch.

Honestly that xbox showcase was FIRE. So many games, all are on gamepass, and all are play anywhere. Xbox OS was even better, now we are getting a gaming OS so we dont need to boot into windows. This will change the windows handheld game. I would load it on my deck oled in a heartbeat. Switch is successful but they need to show their hand with game updates pronto. Its frustrating seeing low res 1st party switch games. I expect every 1st party title to get a patch.

Outer Worlds 2 will be on Game Pass. Why would you buy it separately...

I'm not sure i've been impressed by any system when it comes to release dates. Ps5 has a lot of games now, but at release, there was nothing much and no news on upcoming games. I think the same thing will happen to the switch 2. More good games will be released.

Rog Xbox Ally and gamepass will hurt third party sales on switch. Atleast on my side. Why would I pay for persona golden revival at full price when it will be on gamepass 😬

GF's problem isn't a lack of talent, it's a lack of time. In 4 years Nintendo was about to churn out BOTW, but GameFreak needs to put out games on an annual basis, which is why they need to iterate over and over and over and each game kinda looks the same.

People are just impatient. Nintendo obviously likes to do announcements on their own time and show. Keighley's and MS show was not going to be the place to get these big Nintendo-related announcements. At least not this early in the cycle. They won't get everything shown the last few days but a decent amount will be announced at the next Nintendo Direct or just through a random press release down the line.

The problem for the Persona 4 remake is that the Persona 3 remake hasn’t hit a Nintendo console yet.
