2023 LG OLED 4K TV Buyer's Guide | G3 C3 B3 or Older Model?

Hi, so i bought my first oled but now im thinking of returning it and getting something different, i do lovenit tho its the sony bravia a75l 65" i got it for 1499 but now they have the lg C2 open box fair condition for 849! Also samsung 65" s90C excellent condition for 1360! I so new to this so any help would be great i believe they all have at least year warranty and i can purchase additional as well. Theres the samsung 77" for 2000 as well if you wouldn't mind giving your thoughts that would be so great thanks

Just got the 55" C3 for €1,080 in 30x €36 installments with no interest. Deal. I'm impressed with this TV, coming from a 12 years old Samsung 48" LCD. No more clouding, blooming, greyish blacks. Should have gone with OLED earlier.

What is the difference between LG OLED C3 vs LG OLED CS3 model? Looks very similar but would be great to know before making a decision. Thanks

FFS, stop saying “whole entire”. They mean the same thing. It’s either the whole range of the entire range.

LG OLED here.. about 5 yrs old.. screen burn.. Washed out, burn showing on lighter shades. I don't think OLED is worth the expense. Much rather buy a less quality and expect to replace it every few years. The difference isn't that much, but costs twice as much. Screen burn is like the old Plasma days.. if you use it as a computer screen like I do, your wasting money.

I bought the BX 55 when it came out and use it as a monitor. Im starting to see some burn in though and its starting to bother me. Thinking about getting the B3 65.

This Black Friday B3 is $1799, VS Sony X90L $1499, do you think I should go for the B3?

@TechWithKG i can get either the 55" G2 or the 55" C3 for the same price 1350eur. Which one do you believe is better between these two?

After some opinion checking, I found the more passionate fans would rather get a C2 than a B3. The C2 is brighter and has faster menus. Disney uses C2 screens for colour grading. That's literally all I need to know, and currently they're also cheaper than the B3.

Avoid LG TVs now . Thank me later..

I just ordered the B3 from Costco today for $1,299. The C3 is $1,599.
It arrives in a few days. I don't do much gaming and brightness won't be an issue so o think the B3 should be fine. Costco will price match for 30 days so I'll be covered if their's a price drop on Black Friday and they have a 90 day return policy.

Wow, you did a great job with the comparisons. I’ve had LG Oleds from there beginnings 10 years ago.
This year I decided to treat myself and retire the 77 C9 and get myself the 77 G3 and I just can’t get over the amount of brightness that comes out of that TV. I actually had to turn it down because my eyes were starting to bother me.
I was never a fan of overly bright TVs. That’s why in my bedroom, I always get the Sony Oleds.
For all of the people out there wondering about the Samsung they are just getting into the Oled market. I would stick with LG or Sony.

I have a B13 model, one of my friends has a C1 and my other friend has a C2. Those 2 are completely identical. No difference at all in picture, processing, etc. My B1 has the exact same panel, so the picture is the same. However, it has slower processor so menus are slower and the games (yes, LG TVs has native games on em) run too slow (below 30 fps). All streaming service run perfectly. The A series has a 60hz panel, i wouldnt bother buying that. I dont know about its picture quality but it isnt better than B or C series thats for sure. The G series has the newest panel, with MUCH more brightness. B and C 120hz panels can do 800 nit overall (at full screen) while G series can do DOUBLE. Unfortunately, their price is more than double, too.
So my recommendation is: if u often watch your TV in bright environment like daytime in a room without curtains, buy the G series. Otherwise buy the C or the B, depends on their price (if not much difference, buy the C if u can get a B for a budget price buy that one instead). There is NO picture difference between 2021-22-23 B or C models! Same panel, same picture processing (just slower or faster menus). Thats why the G series cost so much more. Coz it has better picture quality (only much more brightness but that can be a huge difference especially in HDR).

Me looking at LG's while only having a budget for a Hi Sense U8K lol.

Have been watching videos for weeks going into countless stores asking opinions etc and finally decided to go with the 65 inch B3 today. i got it for £2k from the original £2699 price. Could have got the C2 for £1600 elsewhere but i got 24 months interest free plus the big discount. Both great tvs

I've seen the B3, C2 and G2 side-by-side yesterday and imo the B3 mogs all of them out the hallway... Don't know if I got duped by the LG promo vid but holy ** does it look good on the B3.

What I gathered from this unless you only want to get a G3 don’t buy anything inbetween just get a B3

Any thoughts on the B2 vs Samsungs QN90B? I know they are different displays but the 77 B2 and 75 QN90B are the same price in Canada. I’ve seen a C2 and love the picture. Will be primarily gaming in a dark room with little natural light. 2 HDMI 2.1 ports is enough for me. Is there a benefit of one tv over the other? Or is it better to go with the QN90B if the C2 is out of my price range?

The B series often gets overlooked. It's basically the same as the C series except without the new processor, but the average consumer wouldn't notice the difference even when they're side-by-side. I can't speak for this year's models as I've not seen them yet, but previous models since 2019 have been that way.

What you said about size of TV, always go for biggest. I'm 7ft away from TV but do 4k gaming and sub 1080p gaming on my switch so upscaling is important. Is it better to go with a 65" c2/g2 or a 55" A95k? What would you do based on content I watch and distance I'm sat

I feel the main reason to wait for the C3 and G3 is they will be able to support DTS audio. DTS audio actually is a higher bitrate than Dolby Atmos. Half my Blu-ray collection uses DTS audio. Believe me, DTS makes a huge difference on movies that are not Dolby Atmos.

However, if you are a gamer and don't care that much about superior sound, then the C2 is a great buy and you can still listen to movies in Dolby Atmos. More Hollywood studios are starting to use DTS and DTS:X audio.

Get a C1 or B1 - it's not much different to the C3 or B3 (a little less bright, but fine if you're watching in darker rooms) and is an excellent panel. If you can find one, you should get a really good price.
I'm surprised you didn't cover C1 as an option when your title says "older model", as if you were comparing more than the current and last generation.
