I'm curious about this method in areas with more humidity/rainy conditions. How about middle Tn and Ky? Would there be issues with mildew, leaks, etc? As well, I'm assuming the heat index is fairly good and could keep one warm in the colder winters.
ОтветитьExcellent
Ответитьthis is priceless and truly impress
Ответитьkeep it up. it's a no brainer.
Ответитьj'adore !
ОтветитьSo beautiful!
ОтветитьHi this is Steve from Superior Sandbag Systems. We are still around and still sell rolls of 14" & 18" UVI stabilized woven PP tube for the past 20 years. Best pricing. Give me a call. 949-338-5978
ОтветитьI currently live in Ventura California. A friend of mine recently graduated from the apprentice program at CalEarth. Before he told me about this program I never knew such affordable housing options existed.
My wife and I desire to build an intentional sustainable community in The Philippines in a few years using this form of construction. I am very interested in knowing more about what you have done with using superadobe construction in The Philippines. Also, is it possible to use superadobe to build an in ground swimming pool?
Can these be built with two stories? I’m thinking of building one with more of a rectangle shape with round corners and a dome roof and a small dome garage. I want it to be two stories though. How high can these earth bags be built? Could something 20 or 25 feet high be built? I’m definitely gonna be signing up for your work shop soon, this is jus really cool.
ОтветитьHesperia California
ОтветитьMe encanta, tendré una casa así!!!! I love it!!!!
ОтветитьThis work is "the love of my life!" Nadir Khalili=hero, teacher, mystic...Thank you
ОтветитьI want to learn this. Do they have online channel?
ОтветитьI’ve always wanted an Adobe or earthbag home. I’ve even drawn plans of how I’d like it, how thick the walls, the beds to be built into the walls like nests or like the capsule hotels you see in Japan. With sky lights over each dome to let in natural light, built in cupboard openings in the kitchen. So many ideas, wish I had the money, time and a spouse that was on board. Alas it’s just a pipe dream.
Ответитьawesome
ОтветитьYes!! I'm already looking to purchase land in Joshua Tree and Sisters Oregon. Its all about the quality of life for me. I don't want to be like the "Jones" paying $2500 or more a month on mortgage, I'd rather live comfortable and stress free and an earth home or going tiny seems like the only solution Thanks for sharing
ОтветитьI’m in SC, we have a 2.5 acres and are trying to get plans for an earth bag home that I can get to pass code approval- if you have any suggestion or help it would be much appreciated!!!
ОтветитьCalifornia will give you a permit to build a buetiful home like this i cant believe it
ОтветитьMost earth-bag or Aircrete homes I've seen online are quite small when compared to what we would call "standard" housing. Monolithic domes, on the other hand, can be quite large. I wonder if anyone is making earth-bag or Aircrete homes on a some larger, more practical (less experimental) scale anywhere? I'm thinking at least 1500 square feet, so not huge, but not tiny either. Something the size of a modest home.
ОтветитьDon't those roofs collapse and kill people???
ОтветитьThey look pretty and I love nature and not taking anything for granted....enjoy my surroundings without ruining it...
ОтветитьI hate cookie cutter houses....yuuuckk
ОтветитьThe Japanese have a dome system that are way ahead of everyone else for affordable housing IF you can get the planning and building departments to buy in which may be very difficult with their past track record for being from government and going to help.
ОтветитьWhere are the earthbags sourced?
Ответитьbeautiful...
ОтветитьI have an idea to build a perfectly curved hemisphere and it will make it super easy and lots quicker... but it has to be perfect ball shape, you couldn’t have any other slope angle with my idea. Contact me for my idea. Not trying to sell anything, use my thoughts!
ОтветитьAND that he followed the works of Rumi! What's not to love! This man is my new American hero!!!!!!!
ОтветитьI often say, Spirit knows spirit, truth knows truth and bullshit knows bullshit. I could not stop weeping from the part where he quit his job to help humanity and nature. This man was led by the Spirit, enlightened with truth and that is no bullshit. I am encouraged in my soul anytime I learn of an individual(s) that let the Spirit guide them rather than fall in line with the mainstream or status quo. I pray that our creator pour blessings into your business and personal lives as you continue to pour out his compassion to those needing it most.
ОтветитьI read the old man's book on ceramics
ОтветитьThis is beautiful and earthquake proof because of it's design and it's a dome
ОтветитьI would like to know which cities in the U.S. let people build this type of home?
Ответить“You gotta keep on keepin’ on. Life’s a garden, dig it. You gotta make it work for you.”

Are these up to code?
ОтветитьReminds me of the trulli homes found in Apulia, Italy. The barrel vaults and star vaults all use gravity to bind the building together.
Earth bags are effective and inexpensive.
There would be a lot less homeless people if the building codes would allow earthen homes in the United States. Right now it's only allowed in new Mexico. California is currently condemning these houses.
ОтветитьI would love to bring this to El Salvador; there’s a lot to unload as to the state of the country, but Adobe houses are something that are being replaced by aluminum wnd wood structures that are not ideal given the temperature of the country.
My grandparents lived in Adobe houses during the civil war and after, in the countryside, it kept them cool in the heat of summer.
I so wish I could have an earth home ❤️💜☯️☮️🤗🙏💙💚
ОтветитьInspiring is a short meaning word for his work. Just amazing
ОтветитьWho wants to build me one in SW Colorado?
ОтветитьWhy is everything starting to look like claymation?!
ОтветитьI come from Africa Kenya. Our home town is hot and they use contemporary building materials , small windows and the result is hot unbearable nights especially those on lower grounds.
I wish we could learn this affordable and sustainable building technique.
How can I get in touch with the Khalilis?
How would I get in contact with these people?
ОтветитьFinally got to see this beautiful video.
ОтветитьCAL-EARTH is located in Hesperia California. Eight years ago we were in this video boy how time flys! I am in the bear jacket and Rob is standing next to me. Rob was able to do a workshop for building our home. We have since moved to AZ. and are now in our early 70's. We still want to build our earthen home. We bought over 7 acres and live off grid with turkeys, chickens and pigs. Life is following your dream and creating the reality of those dreams. My dream is still building our earthen home here on our property.
Ответить💭 Building codes in California,...it's frustrating because most places won't approve small structures 2b built (300-600sf tiny homes). That needs 2 change.
ОтветитьEarthquake and hurricane resistance is a big humanitarian plus! Does Cal-Earth have a sister-partnership with WASP or other earthprinting companies?
ОтветитьI want to paint one of these so bad!
