You should delete this video you don't know how to video record
Ответитьnice work. You move the camera too fast and too much. makes it hard to watch.
ОтветитьJust asking... did you make sure your concrete thickness is rated for them mate?
ОтветитьSays online this only lifts up to 6,000 pounds. If I’m going to buy one I would like an extra 1 or 2 thousand pounds to work on our full size 2500 trucks. This would be great for my cars though
ОтветитьNot very portable if you need to bolt it down every time you use it!
Ответитьquick jack is better only $1500.. instead of $4k for this maxjax lift
ОтветитьI have has Max Jax for about 8 years I love it
ОтветитьI have had a Max Jax for about ten years. There were numerous problems. The first thing to fail was the pump leak. The next was a cylinder seal leak. The next was one side would raise higher than the other. Fortunately these were under warranty and replaced but it caused a lot of aggravation. One side raising higher than the other appeared to be solved by a pressure adjusting valve put on one side. After the warranty expired I have had two more cylinder leaks. The only hydraulic repair in this area replaced the seals but they still leaked and he said it wasn’t the seals but something like a sleeve that he couldn’t get. Bend Pak bought out Max Jax and you would think would have excellent service, but it is terrible. The people you talk to have absolutely no experience in this product. You can’t get any parts for a Max Jax, you have to buy the new part. The price for a Max Jax now is astronomical.
ОтветитьDramamine not included....
ОтветитьI've had this lift for 5 years or so and I love it and hate it.....I love that it's movable although I usually don't move it...i hate that it can get out of sync pretty easily and if you're not careful it can get sketchy...hate that it has locks that have to be manually put in(what happens if a hose blows on the way up or when it gets to top?)....the lock spacing is useless (I drilled extra holes).. its great for cars and small SUVs but full sized trucks are sketchy
ОтветитьHi men hey, small arm side of motor and long arm it s behind thé motor bé careful
ОтветитьBoooo and Booooo, MaxJax sucks
Ответитьlol, my grandfather made a 3' scissor lift out of old tractor hydraulics. I'm so lucky and grateful i got all his machines (lathe, mill, drill press) and tools when he past, then i got all my fathers when he past. P.S. when building a garage, trust me, go bigger..!! always x2 it..! i built a 30x40 had to build a 20x20 just to house some of the machines. good luck and stay safe
Ответитьi would still use jack stands just in case
ОтветитьHow much was it? You don't get an honest answer from the dealer s- asking someone who has bought it and installed it is logical.
ОтветитьHad to stop watching you are flipping the camera way too much yikes
ОтветитьVery informative presentation. Just a suggestion for the future, please work on your video technique. Way too much camera movement. I actually started to feel sick after watching.
ОтветитьGreat video! You can still have the garage open just don’t open it all the way.
ОтветитьHi there - couple quick ?’s. Are you still thinking the overall Quality is great and how tall is your ceiling in the vid??? Thank you for posting this for us all. Cheers
ОтветитьIf he didn’t bump the garage door it was gunna bother me, I’m like you better go ALL the way up. Great job!
ОтветитьGreat video, after I stopped vomiting. Kidding!
ОтветитьWhat size if your garage for reference?
ОтветитьHow's the MaxJax holding up?
ОтветитьJake you need to stop swinging your camera around.
ОтветитьHey Jake nice video bro. On your video u mentioned 295lbs for each bolt? I read the handbook and I don't see this anywhere. Please help! My final step is to torque each one of them with the stand. Thanks 🙏
ОтветитьI would love to get one but not really wanting to drill into my post tension slab.
ОтветитьDid you test the concreate floor prior to ordering/installing the MaxJax?
ОтветитьThe first half of this video was very informative, instructional, and well done. I tried watching the second half, but the constant rapid scene scanning of the camera operator drove me crazy and was useless.
ОтветитьHi guy . Yes I put mine in with no problem still have 4 “ to 5 “ to spare at full height . But like you with the door open comes close to the windshield . Was better backing the car in . Maybe if you can manually partially open the door you can let the sunlight in . I use the extensions on the lift pads & still have roof space. This late in coming to you I’m guessing you have ironed out most of problems. Thanks Greetings from Canada .🇺🇸🇨🇦👍💥
Ответитьjust ordered a maxjax, home depot delivers them to the driveway $3500.
Ответитьsilver or anthracite apex arc-8s?
ОтветитьGreat video, also loved the music. You are so fortunate with your own lift.
ОтветитьHey man you posted this 4 years ago. How has it been for you ? Been looking to get it.
ОтветитьWhen you put the car on the lift and you lift to tires just off the ground. That's when you should shake it not 4 feet in the air.
Ответитьi don't like the safety stops, needs to have multiple as it goes up automatically
ОтветитьWhat is the inside distance between the two post?
ОтветитьI don’t lift anything over 3500 pounds with my MaxJaxx - I think that’s about as far as I trust it.
ОтветитьHow easy is it to replace the cylinder seals?
ОтветитьWhat exactly is portable? Definitions. Bolting to the floor excludes this and every other one from being called portable.
ОтветитьMy garage is 24x24 also 8 foot ceiling if I find this in a good price I will get it, have 2 cars to do engine swaps on light truck and one mini van, in my case would have to work with garage closed but both cars engines are dead, the van is parked in front of the house in the driveway and the light truck behind the fence on an RV parking space on the side of the property, neither can be started so if I would get this lift and install it in the garage, first have to unclutter the garage as it is full of years of hoarding, then comes to move the cars in to work on them one at time, it so happens the front of my driveway has an incline about 3 or 4 degrees; it would required 5 or 6 people with one at the wheel to move the cars inside the garage on dollies, to move my truck in the space it is now there were 5 people and we struggled some because of the incline; I guess it could be done also by pushing the car up from the street with another car, like my work truck for example but I could damage both cars this way so have to figure out a way. The other way is to drill 20 holes for now, 10 on each side of the garage in such way to work with the lift where the van is now and then where the truck is without moving them at all; this would require to install and remove the lift with every working session, the beauty of it the lift is portable but the work outside can be interrupted by weather unless covering the top with a tarp. I am seriously considering this lift; there is an M6K I saw for $1300.00 online from a shop in Oklahoma, no idea if it is new or used but the other prices I see now are between 3.5 and 4K which is actually insane price to pay for a home mechanic with only a 2 cars project, so lots of planning and finding the right price is the name of the game. Thanks for this review!
ОтветитьI think they do not want you to drill all the holes at once to prevent weakening and shattering the concrete as you install each bolt.
Maybe you should have mounted the lift a little further forward so you can work on your car with the garage door open.
Not a wise idea to have it next to a Crack btw, not that it matters since this video is 5 years old
ОтветитьI wouldve gone in the Ocean Gate submersible before I'd go under a car on that lift
Ответитьwhat is
the measurement you did between the columns?
Honestly I don't see the point in it. My DPM is only 4" below the concrete and the bolts would rot out and the floor would be ruined. It is too slow and too low. For £1800 you could have a proper one and it would give you six foot to work under the car I'm glad I watched this as it put me off . If you use it to remove an engine from underneath the car it might cause the car to tip over. I've got a pit in my carport and that's been good. I would have to have a lift outside. Even though my workshop ceiling is 10' it wouldn't be good enough. Thank you for the video anyway
ОтветитьHow’s it working now? Any issues?
ОтветитьToo expensive. I can fortunately fit a 9' lift in my garage it's half what this cost. And I'm raising my garage roof in the future so I'll get full lift. You'd think these tiny lifts would at least be competitive in price of not cheaper.
ОтветитьFor more head room, work room. Set it up car facing out, this way you won't hit the garage door when hood remove...ditch the overhead garage opener and get as side mount...
Ответить
