This is the best film i've seen in years... the dance of the hairless boners had me on the floor.
Ответитьhow depressing is this shit? made me want to jump off the louise bridge :P ......... for real though, if i didn't live here i wouldn't have bothered sitting through the entire thing and since i did..... worst fucking thing i ever saw. Im all for Winnipeggers making money but c'mon.
ОтветитьCould it be that this is where inspiration for "Lemony Snicket's Unauthorized Autobiography" came from? It has that same style (photos, etc), atmosphere, and "depressing" narrative the books have. I love it :)
Ответить••••Watch-north end, Trailer............by clicking here now. Depressing.
ОтветитьGuy Maddin is a genius!
ОтветитьIt is a simialar style. But that actually predates this movie.
ОтветитьDUMB
Ответитьmost f***ed movie i have ever seen
ОтветитьThis film is an absolute masterpiece. One of the finest I've ever seen.
Ответитьmissing words, amazing work
ОтветитьI find it scary.
ОтветитьWinnepeg is not black and white! God I love the Forks amusement park.
Ответить@thegenie144 hahahahaha
Ответить@tricyclesinskirts What's so funny?
Ответитьwhat's the song called?
ОтветитьI feel sad for the people that don't understand maddin's genius
ОтветитьThis move is horrible.. horrible
Ответить@delirio123 ER-127 SWINGING STRINGS (vocal by Jim Wheeler) - Welcome To Winnipeg / Wonderful Winnipeg (June 22, 1967) ("Wonderful Winnipeg" is the song featured in Guy Maddin's "My Winnipeg" movie)
Ответитьyou can't escape this city. ain't that the truth.
ОтветитьI lived in Winnipeg from September 1999 to January 18, 2008. I have lived and worked elsewhere in Canada, and can attest that this city is trapped in the dreamy past of Winter. I hope that anyone who has any real talent will get of of there and never return, leaving the city to slip further into the abyss of mediocrity and a longing for the past.
Ответить@anononomos You can escape it. Save your money, go to school elsewhere, find a proper job and don't even think about returning.
Ответитьwhats the meaning of the film
ОтветитьOh I've been there Mr. Maddin. I call it "My Prince George".
ОтветитьPrince George is more fun than Winnipeg... trust me
ОтветитьI watched this hole thing when it was on t.v. its so "freakin" scary im been having nightmares
ОтветитьNobody makes the type of films Guy Maddin makes. He's completely of his own style.
ОтветитьA surrealistic masterpiece. It defies easy categorization.
ОтветитьI was born, raised in Winnipeg. This movie is crap.
ОтветитьUnreal....worst non-film we have ever seen!
ОтветитьHey haters, guess what? THIS IS CRITERION APPROVED NOW!
I'm...not sure what to think about it. It looks interesting to say the least, I'm curious enough to give it a shot.
cool
ОтветитьThe crap beneath the crap. What tedious tripe.
ОтветитьI'm from Winnipeg, born and raised. I don't get this video at all!
ОтветитьDo people in the comments understand what surrealism is?
ОтветитьFor those who don't understand, the documentary is about If Day, where the Canadian government during WWII did a mock Nazi invasion of Winnipeg to raise awareness about the ongoing war and to generate more war bonds.
ОтветитьAwesome.
ОтветитьWinnipeg sucks, Winnipeg is grim. you can escape Winnipeg. embrace the country side and the small towns of Manitoba. it is much better beyond.
ОтветитьI liked this movie. Simultaneously sad & hilarious... the frozen horses were hard to believe.
ОтветитьSounds pretentious and artsy for hipsters/snobs
Ответить99% fiction, yet it describes the city so well. I need to escape.
ОтветитьI love this! I really missed the opportunity to be a part of this film though... Oh well, there will be others. Occasionally I get these little "crushes" on movie projects but it never completely goes away. I must learn everything about the story, locations, production and everything about all the actors/actresses too but I stay professionally true to the art, never go off the deep end which isn't hard to do with any form of art.
ОтветитьWhere can I find this film?
ОтветитьWjere can i watch online
ОтветитьCate Blanchett brought me here
ОтветитьSans Soleil + Zelig
Ответитьthe rehearsal
ОтветитьThis is my 2nd favorite Guy Maddin film, with 'Saddest Music in the World' being #1.
ОтветитьWinnipeg is actually a great place to live
Ответить“My dog Toby to be played by my girlfriend’s dog Spanky.” 😂😂😂
