ОтветитьWhen you have a really dumb question that you’re too scared to ask in class, the first thing you do is ask how to use a library and where you might find one. Today they can be found in almost anyone’s pocket.
Another foolproof method is to raise your hand and say that some people like Little Johnny don’t even know the difference between rocks and minerals. Little Johnny will either tell the class what the difference is or be stuck holding the bag.
A little known secret is that in almost every textbook related to that subject matter which your class is hopefully about or why would you be asking a rock question in Spanish class, there’ll be indexes and glossaries and tables of contents.
I knew many students, that despite being shown their magical powers of discovery, never once afterward acknowledged that they knew they existed.
In truth, you really don’t even need any of those, just a dictionary, which every student should have within arms reach at all times in some format or other.
She is ridiculously good at this.
