A broad gauge Pacific National cement train heads from Geelong to Melbourne. "A class" locomotive A85 has a load of 14 VPCX Cement hoppers, most of which have unfortunately been attacked by graffiti vandals.
In the mid 1980's the A class locomotives were rebuilt for V/line from B class locomotives, these locomotives had originally been constructed in the 1950's for the Victorian Railways. The A class now feature a 12 cylinder EMD 645 turbo engine with an output of 2510hp and are designated as an EMD AAT22C-2R .
