if you're here, keep going
ОтветитьThis sounds like Ariel Pink produced it.
ОтветитьI’d die for the Clash. Saved me in every way someone can be saved.
ОтветитьThe clash is the best band of all time
ОтветитьTremendous song.
ОтветитьIt kinda looks as if the band isn't really playing their instruments?
ОтветитьNever listen to the Call Up’s ! We wanna stay alive, man ! ❤ love rules, Jon Fisher
ОтветитьIs there any relevance to the line 55 minutes past 11? Or was Joe just stating the time?.
ОтветитьSo who heeded the call up over the previous 4 years, or was able to think for themselves?!
ОтветитьWake up people! Mostly important song in nmy lifetime born 1963
Ответитьtopper was one hell of a drummer
ОтветитьХуй войне!
Ответить🎉
ОтветитьAmazing; this is still the coolest piece of music in the Universe.
ОтветитьTemazoooo papá 🇦🇷💪
ОтветитьIncredible song
ОтветитьRUKidding me?................super cool
ОтветитьLa única Banda que importa
ОтветитьTo all Russian youth!
ОтветитьI didnt heed the call up for any of the experimental innoculations!
ОтветитьIf you know this and love this, try to share it with any British under 35's now!! It's up to them to rise and bite this corrupt and self serving government, (pathetically proposing the reintroduction of 'national service'), where it hurts...
ОтветитьWe are all brothers. .its up to us all..not just the Russians.
ОтветитьThis is probably weird, but I love the way the chin straps on Mick's hat sway around his face like that. I don't know if anyone else could pull off that outfit, but he looks great. They all do.
ОтветитьI'm surprised that no one has yet written that this song was criminaly underrated ..... It seems to be fashionable to write that by people who don't know what they're talking about .....
ОтветитьGB national anthem. Let the politicians fight their wars. Doubt putin has danced to this.
ОтветитьDreadful... The Clash playing dress up!
ОтветитьFun fact: Paul Simonen did not play bass on this song. He was busy filming scenes in the film "Ladies and Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains". Norman Watt-Roy of the Blockheads plays bass on this song.
Watt-Roy would also lend his talents on all the songs The Clash recorded at Electric Lady in New York either replacing Paul or drummer Topper Headon when needed.
So: "The Magnificent Seven", "Hitsville UK", "One More Time", "Look Here", "Something About England", "The Call Up", "Lose This Skin", "Charlie Don't Surf", "Lightning Strikes (Not Once but Twice)"
Putain ! 40 ans déjà ! A l'époque j'étais étudiant ! Maintenant je devrais être à la retraite ( fuck Macron !)
Mais j'écoute toujours avec autant de plaisir !
Fuck! 40 years already! I was a student back then! Now I should be retired (fuck Macron!)
But I'm still listening with just as much pleasure!
It's up to you not to heed the call up.
No war with Russia. Peace now!
One of my all time Clash favourites! It's a funny coincidence that it mentions Kiev and the Ukrainian wheat fields, as in 2024, it should be played all over Russia (and Israel).
ОтветитьWhen I hear this song I think this is the best song ever, and Joe has the best rock voice ever, and Paul is the best bassist, and... I bought Sandinista as two cassettes at Notting Hill in 1981 and I am still on.
ОтветитьNot to sure about this look for Mick?
ОтветитьFor he who will die. Is he who will kill :)
ОтветитьThey were a political band
Ответитьsay no to conscription
Ответить:-)
Ответитьrelevant today, Jan 2024 as Britain contemplates national service
ОтветитьHere in the UK, January 2024, with rumblings of war, talks of conscription and sadness in my heart.
ОтветитьSo it's happening again
..
Paul Simonon dancing with his Bass is just bliss 😏😏 x
Ответить"Maybe I want to see the wheat fields, Over Kiev and down to the sea"
Joe Strummer, still relevant in 2024.
They were puppets of the music industry as much as any other pop band at the time. They didn't appear on TOTP, well so what ? Here they are, dressed up as cowboys or world war pilots, or whatever still as pretentious as culture club, but at least culture club didn't pretend to be anti establishment / challenging the system like Clash. Strummer was a middle upper class imposter. His father was a diplomat in Turkey, like Copeland's (the Police) was in the CIA.
Trust nothing in Hollywood or the music industry/ Hollywood. They are ALL pretenders ( yes, the band too) and frauds .
Its up to you....😂😂😂greeks listen everyday...
ОтветитьOnly band that matters
ОтветитьIncreíble ritmo
ОтветитьDad served Royal Australian Navy 1950-1962. I was born August 1967. Fan of the CLASH since 1979... Lost their albums in house fire 2021. Love these clips, thanks, love Debxxx🇦🇺♥️✌️
ОтветитьThank God for all the British heroes of ww2 that saved y'all from speaking German.
ОтветитьI just realized this song has kind of a Joy Division feel to it if they were funkier and louder.
