Why are they wearing hard hats when digging holes in a field. Only a full-on idiot could think there is any specific danger requiring a hard hat. This is bureaucracy gone mad..and needs to be aggressively ridiculed and rejected. I cannot take a word of what they say seriously if they are so stupid as to submit to such loony tyranny of the administrator. This is not a health and safety issue in any way, except the mental health of those imposing such stupidity.

Love the striped shirt for Mic. If anyone wants some Mic Stripes of their own the Time Team Official Shop has a coffee cup and pen with the pattern on them.

Loving the Mick shirt. Wonderful to see. Also fantastic to see a dig down on Purbeck! grew up playing about those fields during the summer, all the way along the Jurassic coast from there. So wonderful to see it all again. Its also entertaining to see them trying to get the team to stop work at 5, id be the same as them, aw do i have to!

A classic specimen of Valium Age Time Team. It just doesn't work for me any more, because it has lost something . Its Joie de Vivre perhaps. It is now just a bunch of academics murbling in a field. It sparked with Tony at Sutton Hoo, but this is back to the snooze There are no characters, no personalities. let's face it, after 30 years, most of us don't need dull lectures on pelvic bones, although I realise newbies may. Just make it Interesting? , it says something when you are having to put subtitles to explain jargon. I was taught in my work life to Never use jargon, because it alienates people. You have alienated me from the start of this new incarnation I try so hard to like it, but frankly don't give a toss. So you found a bit of pot? Well done. Wonder what the ad will be? Will it be those Yanks trying to teach me English grammar, or will it be a Lidl recipe? I hope it will be the recipe. Oh, sorry, I am supposed to be listening to Dr Snore telling me about banjo enclosures.

Have loved Time Team before it existed, by watching Time Signs when it originally aired. This current presenter is one of the most irritating things I have ever seen. JFC

I hadn't watched Time Team in awhile and noticed there was quite a backlog. I remembered immediately why I had stopped watching. The narrator/presenter is horrid! His over enthusiastic delivery is awful and off putting. He insinuates himself in a way that shows he's not genuinely interested but just acting. Why they continue on paying/using him is a mystery. THANK GOD FOR FAST FORWARD!!!

The new hosts are good, but something about Sir Tony Robinson's narratives is really captivating and its a go-to relief for me. I am planning a trip to GB in the future, to explore and study the HMS Victory and sites featured by Time Team. Hope to have my Time Team fleece jacket and shirt by then....maybe get a chance to meet Tony or other member. ; ^ ) Oh...and kudos to Matt Williams, Phil Harding and Helen Geake, three more fantastic all time faves of mine. BTW, I owned property within a stones throw of Jamestown, VA along Powhaten Creek. I remember when Phil was there and they recovered a halberd from one of the original wells.

I suspect the base shed with 3 holes might be used in making cheese. Used to separate the curd (cheese) from the whey (an excellent source of protein).

Archeologist was on my varied list of things I wanted to be when I left school. I would have been good at it, EXCEPT that I didn't know about my bad hip. I would have had to stay in the lab with rare visits to the field. 😭
Thanks to Time Team, I can enjoy the finds without torturing my poor legs. Unfortunately, my list of places to go in the UK when I get a chance to go back is huge.

I’m just grateful all of that is accessible here to look back on and that TT is still going. 💙 Also, this dig is fascinating! A great one to celebrate with

Wow. Just wow. This is such a treat of an episode, and a fitting tribute to everything that Time Team has done for public history & public archaeology. 45 minutes for 3 days was worth looking forward to in its day, but spending the same time on each day gives so much more scope for insight and development of each idea and strategy! 🧡💛💚💙💜

Genuinely perturbs me how too many people think that our ancestors were too undeveloped to carry out complex tasks, yet the more we learn, the more we find that we have to experiment with very complex techniques to create the things required for daily life in the past. We have so much to learn about our past and really need to stop thinking of our ancestors as primitive. They survived through situations we would not be able to with all our electronic technology.
