That's one extreme cliffhanger i did expect that at all.
(Spoilers dont read past this) as i have a theory for this whole chapter.

Throughout the video 2 or 3 people said that they somehow saw themselves when they weren't really their. So i am assuming max here is disturbing the reality's by just living. Seeing to as she has the power to turn time back it is changing the present time due to her doing stuff in the past that shouldn't be tampered with. therefore Safi's body turned to flowers in the present time because max changed the timeline entirely. So either the killer got hindered from their objective somehow in the past or each time max changes realms she creats another copy of herself in that new past timeline and continues to try an stop the killer in the present time. That being herself. So i am saying she used her powers so much before that she is now fighting against herself.

I might be thinking way to hard on this but it's an interesting theory i think lol.
