What bothers me is that he said he was exploiting, told you he didn't need your votes anymore and people still are shocked he got in again.
It was the exact same methods he used last time and after he was gone from office, NO ONE CHANGED A SINGLE THING.

So it was easy for him to do it all over again.
The pathways were still there for him to skip down.

The party should be led by politicians from swing states, rather than from reliably liberal states like California or New York. Leaders like Nancy or Chuck may not be as invested, as they are likely to be re-elected regardless.

No Stewart you missed the point. Kamala Harris already had 4 years to do the job that the people wanted. She said she wouldn't do anything different. She couldn't make a coherent speech. She trotted out millionaire Hollywood elites. She missed the mark and the mainstream media were parroting divisive talking points and lies

Didn't like Harris. That was the first thought when Biden selected her as VP over some very interesting choices. Then it escalated to nomination without primaries which was undemocratic process. How can you then talk about saving democracy? Then she kept on going with slow wording. Biden had survived same situation with help of Obamas' charisma but this time Harris didn't.
Nowdays a presidential nominee must be an entertainer. A Democratic one needs also be truely inspiring and present. Such a person is very hard to find amongst politicians.
Has to vote vs. wants to vote are two different things.

I don't care what people say trying to say this election wasn't lost by non-voters.
In 2020 djt received 74 million votes plus about 2 hundred thousand.
Joe Biden received 81 plus million.
This month djt got 75 million plus.
Harris got 71 million.
We're missing a few million here right? Those are the voters that decided trump is the better choice.
Thanks a lot idiots.

Taking the position of the opposition, is something that has worked in Denmark in the past 25 years. In the early 2000's, the right wing left the position of 'small government' and moved towards left - and they won. Several years later, the left wing took the position of the right wing's immigration policies, and they won. Both sides just abandoned their core beliefs, just to get in power.

Too true. Democrats were not running on woke. Republicans were. They deployed all their corrupt acolytes in Right Wing media to paint Democrats as woke whilst hiding the reality of Trump, whilst the Democrats tried their hardest to be Republicans.

"When all is said and done, we had a free and fair election" - No, we absolutely did not. Republicans set fire to postal boxes, set fire to ballot boxes, literally stole ballots so other people couldn't vote, engaged in gerrymandering, engaged in voter suppression, illegally removed people from voting registers... The list goes on. This election was anything BUT free and fair. The Republicans told us (via projection) that they were cheating, and we collectively said, "you go with your bad selves, have fun, go wild". Democrats didn't deserve to win this election, and as a result, we are all losers.

DJT said "You'll never have to vote again. I'll fix it." Dr. Maya Angelou said, "When someone shows you who they are, believe them." Going forward, the previously enfranchised voters will have no choices. He'll have no guardrails. No checks and balances. Immunity. You think the GOP is going to risk losing their Trifecta? Hardly. The difference between now and 1980 is that, back then, we still had a democracy. We just voted that away. Deal with it.

I've seen many of these supercuts of speculating commentators. But not one of them has mentioned the fact that Trump had one specific thing "going for him" this election. He's not a woman. It seems that Americans are ready to elect a convicted felon and proud sexist to avoid saying Mrs. President. Of course there's likely many other reasons for the outcome...just an observation

It's too hard to try and boil an electoral loss like this down to one thing. Pundits are trying, but really it's impossible. There are wars, economic factors, social factors, and a whole lot in between. Let's not try to make this a simple fix, because it isn't.
