The private sector is the leach that causes so much govt waste. Few, but not many will quit just by being made to come into work. They’ll just show up for work. Also, if this job elimination plan comes to fruition unemployment Labor stats would increase under this new administration not to mention that this plan creates cuts into revenue coming in thru taxable income. Should it even be mentioned how it would impact the local housing market in the region? Or the ripple effect to businesses in the impacted areas as loss of jobs mean fewer ppl spend into companies or services?? Not to mention how loss of jobs impacts state tax revenue. Moreover, decreasing jobs only burns out those that would remain and there would be high turn over and very little getting accomplished. Moving jobs from one location to regions of those that voted Red, sounds like bribes being paid to voters in those areas rather than for government efficiency. Why not keep remote which sounds more efficient as the need to relocate office space and utility consumption would decrease rather than moving people? If this mass firing plan fumbles and slows down, for example how the American people receive their tax refunds and other program benefits that impact especially in regions that voted for him, repubs may not see the WH beyond the next 4 years. Sounds like a plan that would quickly have voters change sides when it’s time to vote the house and senate again. Not really smart move politically and looks like a disaster in the making.

As a former Federal Employee = it is a JOKE that such a large number of employees are working from home. And if the Federal Workers Union says anything about production has increased in the work being accomplished = LIES. There are a very small number actually doing the work while others "GHOST" - log in and "puff" disappear down to Home Depot for those at home projects. In the mean time, agencies that have rented office space for lets say 60 employees, but only 20 work in the office - WASTE of taxpyer money on space NOT needed.

Covid taught us who was essential, and it wasn't these bloated agencies and incompetent government lackeys...

Someone else made a good point that we should expect the same of our legislative. Many members of the Senate and Congress cherry pick their appearances, yet they always decide they deserve a raise.

Term limits. Fire people. Cut the fat. Get us out of war. Bring jobs home. Energy independence. Then we’ll be able to discuss not skyrocketing the national debt and investing more money in programs that could help people instead of line the pockets of special interests.
