I live in a very hot but beautiful part of Australia, in the capital city of the state of Queensland which is 50 mins. from the famous Gold Coast.We have beautiful mild winters here with about 4 weeks only of cold weather!!
I like you have always been a ‘makeup ‘ girl and I enjoy wearing it every day.
My profession was an art teacher and a jazz singer so you can understand why I love makeup!!I am retired now and I am 75 years old.but I know the power of caring for oneself .

My under eyes are the bane of my existence!!!!! The only way I’ve found I can use any concealer is to mix a small amount with the Charlotte Tilbury magic cream and then apply!! I will try anything that says it will help!!!!

Nikol, Thank You for this lovely, very Instructive tutorial! (I have several questions for you so I hope you'll take a moment to read my whole comment.) First let me say that THIS is my absolute Favorite of all the makeup looks I've ever seen you do - the finished look is So Gorgeous & soft! (The only pity is that it uses Tom Ford eyeshadow, which I could never afford on my fixed retirement income. Since you have the Tom Ford palette In Hand, do you think you might be able to find us lower budget ladies a duplicate for these colors - at least the 3 colors you used - perhaps by combining a couple of cheaper drugstore palettes?)

This look is so perfect for an evening event! It looks dressy & definitely a little made up BUT it also still looks "natural", in a certain sense. I feel that "still natural" effect happens because These colors truly are an Enhancement of your Natural beauty & of your Natural coloration - they blend So Beautifully with your natural skin tones & the cooler tones of your hair. In turn, think a lot of that Harmony happened because you cooled that "too bright" pink off, by washing over it with that lighter color - what a simple but ingenious "trick" to share with us!

I'm hoping I can find a collection of makeup products (eyeshadow in particular) with which to create a Similar Effect for myself. I'm delighted that you were working with the mauve tones here - especially a mauve eyeliner! - as those are my favorites to use when doing my own makeup. I don't think I've ever seen you use a mauve eyeliner before? It works beautifully with your unusual eye color! SO pretty!

I have a question for you:
I always consider it a Bonus when doing my own makeup that those mauvey colors usually also go well with whatever I'm Wearing, including the Color(s) of my Earrings. I've never heard you mention whether it's important to consider the color of our facial jewelry when chosing eyeshadow colors? What are your feelings about that?

I personally feel like that probably matters a little bit, since Earrings are worn so close to our eyes?
I make jewelry so I enjoy wearing earrings with gemstones or semi-precious stones - or I may use more playful materials like handmade glass beads, or vintage plastic beads - sometimes I wear intricate hand beaded designs made with tiny size 15* glass beads. My point is just that there is often Color close to my eyes, in my facial jewelry, so I'm wondering how important you feel it is, either to Match with, or to Compliment our Earring Colors, with our eye makeup colors?

Nikol, my problem is that my eyes tend to get a burning sensation when I use anything near my eyes. This has only started happening in the last couple of years. I’m 65. During the pandemic, I didn’t wear any makeup at all. Could this be why they now burn and water?

I was told years ago by an expert that the press of an eyeshadow determines how good the quality is of the product. Considering the price of Tom Ford products it is shameful that his shadows flake all over and require more effort for the user.

Can u use a eye primer and not use eye shadows...or should I just use concealer?

I would recommend that people look up this eye cream product and examine the ingredients, check out how much you get and how much it costs. The tests done are not double blind so you don’t really know whether this stuff works any better than a product that is much less expensive. Judging from the ingredients it doesn’t sound that remarkable. Finally, eye creams are notoriously overpriced and this one, however glorious it is, seems to fit that mold. I am neither that vain nor that wealthy for this eye cream.

Thank you Nikol for featuring a product that is not a harsh skin treatment. Some of us struggle to find products that are protective and hydrating and help make up look great but we cannot tolerate strong products with active ingredients. This formula sounds like my dream come true and I looked at the website and the ingredients are also high quality -- cold pressed oils and beeswax sourced from a specific spot in UK, not shipped from overseas in vats, if you get my drift. Also, oddly I just saw a dermatologist claiming these are the only botanical oils he like for the skin.

I'm purchasing this right now (through Nikol's link, why not?). Some of the reviews say it lasts for a year if just used under the eyes. That would be nice. But as we all know the cheapest products are the ones we use until the tub is empty. If all else fails I'll use it on my lips. Thanks Nikol.

As always I have to rave about your productions. I hope people do realize a huge amount of work goes into these videos -- the lighting, the cameras (that are like a microscope on poor Nikol's face, haha), the editing . . .all of it. It's so much work. Besides being on a bunch of other platforms? So much work and always super high quality.

Beware!!!! I too enjoyed this video tutorial. So much so that I bought several products ($160). I was so excited to try them out but I could not have been more disappointed in the quality of the products. I literally broke out, looked like I had gray skin tone, dryness around my nose and the fine lines under my eyes looked worse than if I had no make-up on at all. So disappointed. And to make it worse - all sales are final. If you are unhappy they truly don't care.
