I love both Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh. I've been a fan of both franchises for 20 years now. I played all the Pokémon Gens and other spin-offs as well as a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh games, I'm not good at Pokémon or Yu-Gi-Oh card gaming so I prefer the games where I'm much better at playing 😅

Took me a bit. But I took to Digimon and Vanguard like a fish to water. But I'm gonna be just like this when I try to learn Force of Will.

This had "Remember when Ash got his first digimon and sent Krillin's Dragoon to the Shadow Realm?" energy.

There's a couple card games I miss. I'd love to pick up a new one, but they never seem to last more than a couple years unless it's Pokemon, Yugioh, or Magic. And those games have gotten stupid.

The pokemon traiding card game was incorrect on both side. The way pokemon traiding card game work, is your starting hand is 7 card after putting 6 price card face-down from the top of the deck, then both plays basic pokemon in the bensh area, and one in the active area, only 5 in bench area, and one in the active area the opponent does the same even if it his your turn, you can only attack with a pokemon in the active area, and the one in the active area can only attack another pokemon in the opponent active area, you can attack on the first turn, since your opponent would have an active pokemon on the first turn. You can have more then 4 copy of the same energey card, pokemon need energey card to be able to attack, if the attack does not requires energy card, the orb beside the attack is transparate, the energy that is a star symbol mean any energy element can be used, for the attack, you can only play one energy card per turn, except with trainer card, and you also can only evolve pokemon once per turn, except by trainer card, and effect of pokemon, in the more modern pokemon card game pichu is the baby version of pikachu and have an effect to evolve itself to pikachu, if evolve that way all damage done to that pokemon is remove, and it does not take a way your manuel once per turn evolution. If you manually evolve a pokemon it retain damage previously done, even with an evolution done by a trainer card, unless trainer card specified other wise.

I play Yu Gi Oh but I learned to play Pokémon last year and I like it more than Yu Gi oh at some points but MTG is so confusing when jumping back and fourth. I keep forgetting you need Mana to do anything and the whole stampede/flight abilities confuse me. Lmao. It’s not the same thing to be good at one game and try other games 😂

The pokemon cards say nothing about having an effect that lets them do stuff hes just assuming they do stuff dosent read them and summons them

You guys should also try Hearthstone.

Finally, some Digimon representation. And it's hilarious how you guys managed to somehow compare Yugioh to each of them.

As a pokemon player who doesnt play any other card games atm, it was interesting to me how amazed they were with Tierno (and all the other various rivals that do the same thing) drawing 3 since in Pokémon drawing 3 on a once per turn supporter is bad. There's a supporter, Professor's Research that lets you discard your hand and draw 7, so I'm used to drawing lots of cards. Not to mention how much search I'm used to having in Pokémon lol

I collected pokemon cards in the late 90's, and i only remember 2 types of cards, the pokemon and energy.

I am a long time Magic player of 8 years and a lover of card games in general so I picked up Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon recently not the hardest to learn but the real challenge is to find play groups for each since most card game enjoyers stick to one or 2 I am still having trouble finding Yu-Gi-Oh players since most card shops in my area focus on MTG and Pokemon don't get me started on trying to get people to pick up Bakugan Vanguard or Digimon 😢

“I get to special summon…” it had been said a million times, reading the card explains the card, and pray tell in which sentence presents on that Pokemon card says “you can special summon this card…”?

One Piece card game is too new or it would have made the list. ☠️

One of my friends on Facebook is a huge Yu-Gi-Oh fan and player and I've been getting her into Shadowverse, and it's real-life counterpart Shadowverse: Evolve let's just say her reaction to what you can do in SVE is what I'd expect from a Yu-Gi-Oh player getting into it for the first time especially her reaction to the fact that you can summon multiple Followers "SVE equivalent to Monsters" on the same turn during the Main Phase if you have enough Play-Points.

Among all these, Digimon is the only one I don't know how to play. I know only the basics of Pokemon and MTG. I had enough knowledge to play both Standard and V Premium for CFV.

Pokemon cards arent broken unless your talking about how you can technically use professor sycamore to draw 7 cards for no cost if your hands empty and using arceus v star to place 3 vstars for no cost

The only card game I ever played was "Yu-Gi-Oh!", but I've been collecting cards from other TCGs and I'm trying to learn about those game mechanics.
Such as :
Magic: The Gathering
Kaijudo/Duel Master
Redakai
Metazoo
Battle Spirits
Digimon
Chaotic
Beast Clan(Not my favorite)
Elestrals

And I have my eye on some other TCGs, some that are indie.

I finally got my first 2 pokemon decks, and I still kept saying “Standby, main” every after draw 😂.
