I’m a believer that rts and fps games don’t feel good with a controller. It’s the worse way of playing but some people do it and enjoy it and more power to them cause i never want to go back

I'm surprised Scott never mentioned Minecraft here. PC is where it started and it remains the most popular platform for it.

I LOVED the sims games on DS and Wii as a kid

the sims 3 on xbox 360 was a good 30% of my childhood, the only things i can recall about it are stealing my neighbors radio every day to sell for food and that i bought 5 copy's because my xbox would keep breaking them.

I actually once played sim city for 8 hours straight once and just forgot about everything else i wanted to do through out the day

One of the worst PC to Console conversions I’ve ever played was Kerbal Space Program. I don’t know what they were thinking but they basically took the original game, shat on the controls, and made building infinitely more difficult

I used to play the heck out of TS3 for DS. Dunno why Scott was negative about it, it's as close to the PC one as you can be with 4 MB RAM

One game I feel got really screwed over was Prison Architect: Xbox One edition. It had some actually interesting changes from the original, mainly with the Escape Mode DLC. In the PC version, as far as I know, you could run around, be a prisoner, hire some goons… and that’s it. I’m the Xbox version you had stats, different endings based on how you escaped, gang members with different attributes and you could tell them to do different things. The only thing the PC version had over the XBox version was that you could just end a fight instead of surrendering all your stuff. And also the fact that the guards worked. See, despite the fact that Xbox escape mode had stuff that made you want to stay in the prison and level up your prisoner, the longer you stayed, the buggier it got. Guards and other staff would just start ignoring some prisoners once they were in solitary. Meaning they would never be let out. So if this happens to one of your gang members, which it usually does, you have a wasted gang slot. Forever.

Most games for every console from the 90s were made on Windows PC and definitely every video game you have ever heard of from the 2000s to present day was made on a windows PC

Pc ports of console games is why it’s Better to have a pc and a console because PC ports of console games are mostly horrible besides gta V, red dead, and the battlefield games for the most part

The doom ost in psx focused more on immersion then feeling cool

Speaking of SimCity on consoles, the (basically) indie spiritual successor series Cities: Skylines has its first game on Xbox One/Series, PS4/5 and Switch.

Cities: Skylines II is supposed to come to Xbox Series and PS5 as well, but those ports have been delayed again and again since it came to PC in 2023, so Lord knows if it’ll ever make the jump…
