Dang I’m quick wit it
ОтветитьI don’t think they will repeat. I think they lose to Texas, and I know they won’t beat Michigan!
ОтветитьI'm biased as a buckeye fan but I think the fact they have a losing streak to Michigan is what keeps this team motivated and gives him a shot at a repeat.
ОтветитьI still think Penn State would have taken Nebraska down. That offense was a juggernaut!
ОтветитьRj I think this is our year to repeat... besides the fact we have a new Qb i think when the playoffs come we I'll have enough cache to repeat😊
ОтветитьDiehard Buckeye fan here..I don’t think you can lose that much senior talent and just plug in other players and repeat…please prove me wrong OSU
ОтветитьChampionships prior to the AP and Coaches poll dont matter.
ОтветитьI’m an Ohio State fan and I don’t think they repeat. They lost a whole lot of talent to the NFL and graduation. Plus new coordinators and a new starting qb that hasn’t had much game time experience. Now of course OSU is still absolutely loaded and the new starters besides qb have some solid game time experience, and having Jeremiah Smith and Caleb Downs back but that’s probably too much to overcome to repeat. Now I think OSU CAN repeat but I think they fall short but will still be a strong national title contender and make the playoffs. Georgia lost a bunch of talent after their 2021 natty but they brought back their starting qb(who was a senior and a major key) and other key pieces. Returning qb’s were also on the last multiple number of repeat champions. I think the natty winner is one of these teams: Texas, OSU, Georgia, Bama, Clemson, Penn St, Bama, Notre Dame, or Oregon. Dark horses are LSU and Miami. For me it feels like Texas wins it with the return of CJ Baxter exploding after his motivational return that puts Texas over the top. We shall see. With that said Julian Sayin may have some early growing pains but by mid season he will be a wizard with ball and Michigan’s 4 game streak comes to an end. Ryan Day got the natty monkey off of his back and knows how to properly adjust after learning a valuable lesson after last year’s game. Brian Hartline at OC and Patricia at DC will be quite formidable with the talent they are working with by season’s end. 2026 is the money year for OSU.
ОтветитьProbably not. We will have the talent to do so. But experience, especially at very specific positions is utterly vital. Someone along the way will take advantage of that inexperience
ОтветитьI am sure that they have the team that could repeat, but there are about 10 teams out there this year that are also very good. It is probably a toss up what team will win it all at this place in the season. Go Buckeyes!
ОтветитьIntegration…makes me think of Fred Patterson. Fred was the son of Charles Patterson, an escaped slave who settled just North of Greenfield, Ohio. Homeschooled, Fred entered Ohio State with the Freshman class in the fall of 1889. The sport on Campus at that time was Oration, and Fred was widely known to be the brightest. At Ohio State Fred would go on to become the Business Manager for the student newspaper “The Lantern” and in 1893 was voted student body Class President. In his sophomore year, Fred answered an add in the student newspaper, an urgent call for students to round out the football roster for the new team, The Ohio State Buckeyes. During the final game of the season in 91 vs. Kenyon, on a cold and snowy Thanksgiving day, Fred was on the defensive line, scooped up a muffed punt and returned it to the house, thus becoming the 1st African American to score a TD in CFB. Fred went on to design and create a School-bus, and his Company, the Patterson Bus Company would go on to hold a large share of the market in Ohio into the 1950’s.
ОтветитьEvery southern National title pre Southern integration while Northern schools had Black players is fraudulent.
ОтветитьSpeaking of black pioneers, my freshman year at Ohio State, Cornelius Greene was the first black QB ever to start there. He went on to win the (I think) 1974 Rose Bowl, and was an All American. I know his NFL career didn't pan out, but he was one of the classiest guys I ever met. We bumped into each other on the Oval, and talked for about an hour. I was nobody, but that didn't matter to Corny. If you've never watched his highlights, pull them up.
ОтветитьAs a buckeye fan. I am super happy for the nattty. But for this year to be successful, we need to beat TTUN, and get in the playoff, then eliminate the at least 1 SEC team from the playoff.
ОтветитьWith a playoff, it's easier to take the field, but you have two options beat Michigan or win it all😂😂😂
Ответитьa definite maybe. 😂
ОтветитьJulian Sayin is gonna have to carry the load similar to CJ Stroud in 2022 which worries me especially against Penn State & Michigan late in the season. Not having Quinshon & TreVeyon worries me
ОтветитьOther than LSU I don't see another team with enough talent to compete with Ohio st...reeeeepeat!🏆😜🎉
ОтветитьCan it be done yes. Can Ryan Day take the crown that Saban left behind. I said this years ago here that if Coach Day can win that first one it won't be his only one. But with a playoff now. Nothing will come easy. But if it ain't worth fighting for then it ain't worth trying. Let's do better than the last National Champion did and defend our Championship 🏆. GO BUCKEYES!!!
ОтветитьHow many teams have won in every championship scenario? There’s only ONE TEAM! NOW STFU!
ОтветитьI know they won the natty, but they finished 4th in the big 10 with a loaded team, yea they recruit a high level but they’re young and unproven
ОтветитьI was not very high on Ohio State in February/March however the closer we get to the season the more it think this team can do it.
ОтветитьAs a Buckeye fan, I don't think Ohio State will run it back. But..... if they did.... here is why....
Roster - Ohio State is still top 5 Rosters in college football on just blue chip talent ratio. Advantage Ohio State.
Schedule - Week by Week, Ohio State will be favored. No one on their schedule, except Texas compares or have favorable matchups. Texas loss just as many players as Ohio State. But which week will OSU likely lose because of talent? Texas? No one in Conference.
Experience - Ryan Day is the better coach vs everyone on the schedule. He's outplayed and coached everyone except ttun. So give OSU 2 losses (Tex, Ttun), they still make the playoffs. Coaching Advantage OSU vs everyone in the playoffs. Ryan Day playoff teams has always been high level.
With Roster, Schedule, Coaching, and players who have played in the playoffs, if Ohio State reaches the Playoffs, they will probably be favored based off pedigree and experience. Best chance for Ohio State not to repeat is if they don't make the playoffs, but Ohio State won't lose more than 2 games in the regular season, they are not TTUN. Sooo.... they could repeat!
When did the name of the show change
ОтветитьOnly 2 schools have done it in the Playoff Era, which was WAY more difficult than doing it when National Titles were "mythical". Especially when there were at least a half dozen entities awarding "Titles"
ОтветитьBack to back is possible. And as good as they are I have to put 94-95 Nebraska as still the best I have seen. Better than the best of the U too. It would be a struggle against them. Florida and their roster of great players littered with NFL talent got a 60 burger dumped on them in case anyone forgot. You know an OU fan didn't forget either. Love you RJ.
ОтветитьMr . Young I received my sticker today my brother thank you sir.
ОтветитьDidn't they just lose two of the best coordinators in the country? Stop the nonsense
ОтветитьThe bucks are still hot mad about their loss to Michigan(13-10) , despite their natty, the better question would be if Ryan day loses again to UM , will he will retain his Job ??? Even though he won a. National championship…. See John Cooper!!!!! This rivalry is above all even their natty, and the bucks know that, despite what they tell you.
ОтветитьAwe, how cute, RJ is still mad at whitey. Wasn't Royal an Oklahoma grad/player?
ОтветитьBucks definitely want the NCAA to hammer UM, and let’s be real, it’s not only about the signs, If Michigan is depleted maybe Bryce leaves if they get a postseason ban, or maybe Sherrone gets fired. (He obviously has Ryan day “s number the last two year”s The dude can coach) It only benefits them, for the game that really matters in November.
ОтветитьI think they could win it in 2025 along with a few other teams....but I would be more confident that they win it in 2026
ОтветитьBuckeye season ticket holder here. We will have a very good year, but I don’t think this team is built to repeat. We are replacing too much talent with talent that isn’t quite as good. Mainly defensive line and linebacker. That defense last year was legendary. Also running back depth isn’t anywhere near as good. We will be good. Not as good as last year when the stars just aligned perfectly.
ОтветитьI don't think we have the beef in the middle of that D line. Hope I am wrong.
ОтветитьIt’s gonna be really hard to repeat. If any team could do it I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised with the talent on our team. Go Bucks!
ОтветитьUSC 03, 04? We just gonna skip that and act like the 04 Trojans wasnt one of the greatest CFB teams ever? The NCAA is a joke. No one takes that unfair vacay seriously.
ОтветитьUSC also pushed Bama to intigrate other races into its program after we spanked them in September 1970 with a diverse roster vs Bama's all white roster.
ОтветитьI do NOT. OSU had a better chance in '15 when they had almost EVERYONE back from the '14 Natty team. This year, there are too many new starters, and too many new coaches. I just don't believe they'll be able to pull it together. I (HOPE) they do, I just have my doubts. Love the show! O-H!!
ОтветитьAnything before the 60’s in college football doesn’t count
ОтветитьBuckeye here, hold your horses RJ and Buckeye fans, OSU lost 14 players to the NFL, they have to replace too many good players and will be starting a QB who has played very, very little so that repeat ain't happening. A loss to TX and PSU just for starters, lucky to go 9-3.
ОтветитьIf our lines of scrimmage stay healthy and Sayin is who we think he is, YES, this team can win another natty.
Ответитьyup
ОтветитьNew QB. New OC and New DC. I doubt they can repeat 🔂
ОтветитьThey’ll have 3 losses at least. Penn St, Texas, Michigan are a possibility. Could be another in there.
ОтветитьNah we lost too much. OC,DC, 14 players drafted. I think we can make the playoffs but I’m not expecting too much
ОтветитьBuckeyes losing 3 games man.
ОтветитьAs a lifelong buckeye, I’d say it’s definitely possible, but EXTREMELY difficult for a team to do.
Ответить
