ОтветитьSEPTEMBER 2024
SKILLSHARE ROBBED MY MONEY TWICE IN A WEEK
Please don't end up like me.
I tried the free trial for a month to learn Adobe Illustrator.
Then on August 27, 2024 I signed up for an annual membership. It cost $49. I was so excited to learn. As soon as I paid, I was logged out of the website and haven’t been able to log in since (I’m writing this on September 3, 2024, six days since the incident). I tried the methods in the FAQ but none of them worked. I still can’t learn until now.
I submitted a ticket to them and it took ages to get back to them. They kept replying to my emails with “I just wanted to let you know that we’ll check the tickets” and didn’t really fix it.
Then, the worst thing happened. THEY TOOK ANOTHER $49 FROM MY ACCOUNT yesterday (Monday, September 2, 2024) without my knowledge. I AM SO ANGRY AT SKILLSHARE. Don't register, this is my personal experience. I am a student, money is not easy for me, and skillshare robbed me twice in a week.
I will close my bank account after class. I'm afraid they will rob me again. THIS IS A SCAM DISGUISED AS A COURSE PLATFORM. Skillshare please refund my money, I have submitted a ticket.
I will write an update if there is any development. If not, I will continue to warn people about skillshare so they don't end up like me.
As a user/person who want to learn with skillshare.. I am charged annualy staright for 3 years on usd165, the rate suddenly changed from the previous year, I lodge the complained, but no helpful and no refund could be issued as stated in their god dam policy which is not user/consumer oriented. I am done with them. Prefer domestika or udemy.
ОтветитьIncreasing the difficulty will be good for some students, but bad for other in my experience. It's a tough balance, so I often do 101, 201, and 301 courses on a subject if the topic is dense enough. Great video, thanks for posting this.
ОтветитьNice video.
ОтветитьTrue. I went through the same iteration and experienced the same results.
ОтветитьHello sir my courses doing well on Udemy but when I tried to upload them on Skillshare after 24 or 48 hours these are closed. any trick to solve this issue or any other platform to sell online courses, Thanks sir waiting for your responses
Ответитьkeep away , I understand it's in their policy, but how stupid is that to not offer refunds for forgotten subs? This is an awful practice and reinforces me to never use and recommend their service again. I can stomach a $120 loss, but their reputation is dead for me, screw you, Skillshare.
Ответитьskillshare is horrible, got charged $165 several months down the road and i had previously cancled
ОтветитьMake the iteration loop as fast as you can is a major KEY for any product! The 1st 100 subs will have an early bird access to my next product - stay tuned!
ОтветитьThis company is a complete scam!!!! I hope skillshare gets sued and goes bankrupt!!! They will take your money and refuse a refund. Never sign up because a year later you’ll get hit with a renewal fee with no warning.
Ответить‘’If the bacon tray is empty, they yell at the staff.’’ I’m 😢 and 😂over here thinking of ways to get my team to use LinkedIn learning more effectively.
ОтветитьAnyone know how I can cancel skillshare?
Ответитьgreat video, clear, funny , to the point keep creating
Ответить‘We want to make education accessible to all people, by putting it behind a paywall higher than the premium version of our inarguably superior competitor’
ОтветитьI great teacher I need courses share me clinking
ОтветитьDanish English is truly horrible to listen to.
ОтветитьThank you for all the sharing.
ОтветитьIt's a SCAM. DON'T DO IT.
ОтветитьThey are also notorious for continuing to charge you after you cancel and refusing refunds. I cancelled 3 yrs ago, and just found out they've been charging me all that time, no notice, no receipts, just a sneaky credit card charge once a year. And I'm not the only one, I found hundreds of similar complaints of Skillshare fraud.
ОтветитьDon't quit your day job is the moral of the story boys and girls....
ОтветитьI’m gonna buy that book :)
ОтветитьThank you for sharing. I have a question do you recommend any other websites to add course with ?
ОтветитьThat is little over my monthly PhD stipend.
ОтветитьI like the unique cadence in your voice. 4 stars.
ОтветитьI joined skillshare just to see what they had to offer. I did the 30 day trial. 28 days in I tried to cancel the trial as the websites feature would not allow me. I contacted skillshare thru email and was told they would get back to me. They did a day later, telling me they cannot find my account, asked me for info I sent to them. Now their response is I have no active account , but they charged my debit card 165.00. I filed a dispute with my bank and am in the process of filing fraud with the attorney general. I do not recommend this site. If this has happened to me it probably has happened to others. Let alone once again another site with no contact phone number.
ОтветитьWow! Thank you for that valuable information. I have been in the garments design and production industry for the most part of my career and am now searching for ways to pass on the knowledge.... while earning a bit for my efforts. Keep teaching!
ОтветитьThis isnt true, my girlfriends first course was promoted to front page. My sell art online masterclass has thousands of students there!
ОтветитьExcellent video! Nice visualization 👍🏼
Ответитьvery helpful!
ОтветитьThis man is cute. Thanks for the info
Ответить❤️❤️
ОтветитьSkillshare has the worst Teachers help center i have ever seen. The course reviewers have no clue about video-audio quality, my best quess is they listen everything on a 5$ head-set while watching TV and having all windows open with traffic outside. Also, they will strike your account with no reasoning. I had the same class taken down because it was 'on a forbidden topic' and the topic was not on the public list of forbidden topics. I reuploded the same class to the platform, the second reviewer mentioned nothing about the topic, but complained about the poor sound quality (which was not the case) about which the first reviewer said it's all god. I tried to dispute that, got no answer back. To this day, I never received my refferals earnings. They say they can only dispute earnings claims only within the 30 days 'when the payment was made' - so I can't dispute it. (The payment never happened so there is no 30 days). Second reasoning for them not giving me the money is that I have already submited a claim about that (to which their employee didn't answer in 5 months) and a second claim is not allowed. If you are ready to use expensive quipment, have professional video-audio editing and a good class, I highly encourage you to look to any other platform.
ОтветитьThis is a High quality video.
ОтветитьIn the Skillshare teacher application they ask for a website or instagram or online video even before you've made a class. How to start from ground zero?
ОтветитьThanks a lot for sharing 💡
ОтветитьWow… Awesome video! Thank you so much for sharing this great information. I have a question for you please… When you say “move it to your own website“ how is that possible? Is there a particular platform that I should use in order to make this happen? I didn’t know that I could run a video class on my Google website (is it possible for people to pay for it and then watch a video on a website?) Thanks so much, Laura
ОтветитьIt's very funny. I actually had to start hiding my content from SEO's now because I had problems with people copying my work and when I tried to teach on skill-share they couldn't find anything out about me so they closed my class. That is my guess, they said it was fraudulent because their AI couldn't match it with anything LOL.
Ответитьsubbed cause you seem very authentic and thoughtful
ОтветитьI actually learned a lot from this video.
Definitely don’t want to waste time on a course no one will enjoy.
Also you can probably charge more if your content is better
Another con to add: As a former corporate employee, I would actually discourage anyone from using Skillshare. The founder, Michael Karnjanaprakorn, is a terrible leader who retaliates against employees who report discrimination at his organizations. After I reported at Skillshare, not only did he rehire the guy to work at Otis (his other company), he also sabotaged my job interviews moving forward. Not only did he break a legal contract in doing so, his nefarious actions also led to a several thousand dollar loss of income for me. He's a grade A scumbag. The CEO, Matt Cooper, is just as bad. I'm not the only one either.
Ответитьyour video was astonishing nice edits and great if not excellent quality on the audio good job mate!
ОтветитьI have been exploring skillshare for a while now, and I am having trouble finding high quality content. Additionally the range of topics seem very limited. Seems like I need to cancel before the trial ends and I am charged.
ОтветитьI love the honesty. That's trustworthy. My first video I watched from you. I'm subscribed. Thanks.
ОтветитьI love your video
ОтветитьCan you permanently remove your course from Skillshare? I.e does the course still belong to the instructor?
Ответить
