Only about 1200 made yet about 3000 can be traced.
ОтветитьGood video. Interesting these old standards look exactly like a cheaper new Gibson Les Paul classic. I think this guitar sounds great in the video... but about on par with any new Gibson Les Paul studio through standard. A lot of people think just because something is vintage it sounds better... which isn't always the case when you play them in person. For instance I have a vintage PRS custom 24 at my house and a new one. The new one sounds significantly better... probably because of the newer pickups... but I definitely appreciate vintage stuff and nostalgia that goes with them. And the simplicity of the older designs and finishes.
ОтветитьSounds great... Not much in the looks department. Coolest you’ve ever seen?
Just because it’s a real burst doesn’t mean it’s “ The Coolest”. I love bursts, luckily played many... Even Felder’s...
So I found out that guitar player is Niko Slash.
ОтветитьI love the fact that you guys took your time to edit the audio to make the guitar sound a little bit "better" in order to make it look like it really worth spending that much money on a piece of old junk
ОтветитьI love how it roars when he starts playing high voltage
ОтветитьIt angers me that collectors have driven the price of these guitars to $500k, putting them far out of reach for 99.9% of players.
ОтветитьReally, the only difference I hear in these old bursts are 1) completely unpotted pickups on the verge of feeding back, 2) moderately high action creating more sound above the fretboard, 3) 10 gauge strings. Other than that, I respect the fact they are 60+ years old and are still around. Can't buy into the hype though. I have played a few. Just lovely old guitars to me. Just my 2 cents.
ОтветитьFJB.
ОтветитьIncredible
Ответитьih gawt a chipsun does awl that,,,
ОтветитьJUST WOW!!
ОтветитьYawn
ОтветитьSame year as the Jimmy Page Standard.
ОтветитьGreat tone on this beast.
Ответить$420,000 for anyone curious.
ОтветитьThis is a beautiful Gibson les Paul standard
Ответитьwow that sounds good
ОтветитьIf only the Kalamazoo employees knew the size of the snow ball they would create that started with this single snowflake 😊
ОтветитьRips
ОтветитьThe tuning peg holes have to be enlarged in order to take the Grovers......maybe not routed but drilled open.....
..
Beautiful burst but the 61 sg Les Paul is my top pick.
ОтветитьSweet Guitar. What's with the hair do?
ОтветитьI watched Tyler from music is win bang that 3-way switch like it was going out of business! It bothered me through the screen.
ОтветитьSounds awesome on that amp. Wish you had a few amps to put it through.
ОтветитьIt’s a guitar but this clip shows you a reissue would sound the same. Nothing to it. It’s purely rare. This the increase in value
ОтветитьAmazing!
ОтветитьThat is the perfect Les Paul
ОтветитьI'm planning to write one of these into my novel-in-progress - since I can't seem to get my hands on a real one, this is as close as I'll probably get. Thanks.
ОтветитьSounds so nasty 😋..
ОтветитьThere are Luthiers that build EXACT replicas. One located in my hometown. Gorgeous guitars but REPLICAS. Makes a person wonder. Buyer Beware I guess.
ОтветитьThe guitar that started rock N roll and you have that clown making noise with it????
ОтветитьAnother thing is who has the final say on the value of these 59 les Paul’s … if I walked in the shop tomorrow with a beat up 59 in its original case .. maybe the neck was repaired maybe it wasn’t .. who put the value on these things .. would the shop ring the like of slash or Joe Bonamassa and say we’ve got another one .. I’d love to know how they are actually valued 😊
Ответить🔥🔥🔥🔥
ОтветитьProbably the best sounding 59s Ive heard. WOW!
ОтветитьHow much
ОтветитьCame for the ‘59. Stayed for the player. Damn.
ОтветитьLol... "100%" original except for the tuners" uhm... 100%? Really? Do the math again...
No guitars worth the price lol
Cmon now
Can't all electric guitars be made to sound the same?
ОтветитьThis is not how the guitar sounds like. An R9 or a standard would sound just like that. This is how the amp sounds like.
Tell us how it feels in hands and how the playability is. I know that 1959 Les Pauls were made with rosewood that was centuries old.
Great guitar for sure.
We shold buy 10 pieces of that year for sell them today 😅
ОтветитьDitch the matchless, masks the natural guitar tone too much.
ОтветитьPlease someone finish the job that the hairdresser couldn't do.
Ответить❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьSo 59 bursts also had plain or light figured tops, and Gibson’s marketing gurus charge us 2500€ more than a perfect r8, for a flame bbq top
Ответитьsince the tuners were changed it's not worth anything to me
ОтветитьAll original except..
Ответить
