Great video! A nice blend of information, history, buying advice and jokes, well done!
ОтветитьI have one, it's an inexpensive, fun watch! Great review!
ОтветитьWhen I bought my Seagull 1963, I barely paid more than $100 for it too. No swan-neck regulator and the thing is about 20 seconds slow a day, and the straps it came with felt like cardboard, but other than that it seems just as good as the more expensive versions.
ОтветитьJust ordered mine.
ОтветитьThe metal bracelet looks amazing did it come with the watch or did you get it elsewhere, would like to find one just like it cheers!
ОтветитьI bought a sapphire, 38mm Red Star for $70 with AliEx coin discount, but it was DOA. After returning the Red Star, I found a Das-Tianlei (38mm, sapphire, gooseneck) for only $78.66, and it has been fine. The Red Star came in a nicer, faux carbon fiber case, otherwise they are comparable.
I bought a couple extra NATO straps for it, but settled on an OD green, red stripe Marine Nationale. Less than $10 in straps.
I got one for around £100 three months ago. I got 50-60 watches and use maybe half of these in rotation, surprisingly enough I liked this one so much that it’s the watch I have that gets the most use. I got for example 9 Rolex watches so I got many expensive watches too. But this cheap Chinese Red Star watch is a gem. I got the plexi one, 38mm with swan neck, but have not regulated it as it’s actually running very accurate.
