In the current Telecom licensing scenario, an individual customer is allowed to take upto nine mobile connections across all TSPs. Presently there is no mechanism for TSPs to check the number of mobile connections provisioned for any individual customer across all states. The main objective of TAFCOP is to identify the number of mobile connections working against an individual name irrespective of the type of documents submitted. This results in misuse of telecom resources. The portal was created with an aim to make the telecom resources unavailable for miscreants through effective telecom data analysis and thereby, reduce the cyber-crimes and protect the interests of the Consumer. The TAFCOP portal will assist, to resolve this by centralising the analysis part and hosting this as a service. Every DoT field unit across the country has been provided with a secure login where they can PUSH the customer database and the analysis done by the TAFCOP portal. This is accomplished through the use of DEEP ANALYSIS (Using AI/ML techniques) and big data analysis (using specialized servers using HDFS) and grouping the connections based on various Identity/Address Proofs.
