EA’s BIG Secret: Legacy Sims Games getting a REBOOT?!

WHY are Thieves so good to have around! I do Not want my tiny amount of personal stuff and belongings Stolen!!! I work Hard for what little I have!!! STEALING IS WRONG AND BAD!! Not cool or nice or anything good. JAILTIME for Thieves!!!

I really hope they get re-releases because ive never been able to play sims 1 and 2

Changes Sims 4 needs:
Water bowls/fountains for pets
Ability to take more than just Woo Hoo partners on rocketship trips (nice trip for parents and teenagers?)
More playground equipment
Slides for pools (Sims Freeplay has them)
Wheelchairs/scooters for elder or disabled Sims?
Ability to own more than one house (why can't a successful Sim own a vacation home on Sulani and rent it out when they're not using it?)
More ways to "get famous". Example I have Celebrity Chef where I'm told people push their way into the kitchen for autographs. But there's nothing in that pack unless he wants to act. How about a cooking show?

Maybe we will be getting items from older SIM games. Burgalers??? Hmmm, that suit they were showing in the Events rewards looks like a new burglar suit. Either that or they are bringing back the Repo man too.

I would LOVE if they would reboot sims 1 and 2 with all their expansions. I played sims 1 when i was young and i skipped sims 2 but played it at a friends hiuse and fell in love. I like being able to flip flop between 3 and 4 so it would be even better if i could play all of them again

I think it is not a upcoming but hint that the sims3 is not a timeline but a game in the sims 4 that why everything is not connected the sims 4 is the 4th wall

This might be a reach but I wonder if the milk cartons all represent something we’re getting in this road map?

Bella goth for the Bella goth kit, burglars (maybe as a bg update), my sims for getting it for pc, back to the future character for sims 3 compatibility OR “back to the past” type expansion pack (I REALLY think we’re getting a time travel/nostalgia pack which will do numberssss for sims 4), I’m not sure what the other two are but I think one is a sims 2 character for sims 1 and 2 reboots (I’m thinking they’re going to edit the games so we can play them under different licensing… think Taylor swift changing her songs a little so she legally got the rights back), and then I have no clue what the last one is.

TBH a sims 3 refresh would keep me playing. it needs some performance updates aka 64 bit for pc. Id go back and forward from Inzoi and the sims 3 if they did that

While I appreciate the optimism... why is this news? Beyond just giving sims 2 an update so it can run on newer systems... I don't trust EA to "reboot" sim 2 or 3 faithfully, especially since their biggest grift/moneymaker has gotten criticism it's a rich man's sims 2 but worse in almost every way. Why would they reopen the floor to these games when the whole point of no sims 5 was they were making too much money from the fans straight up sniffing the copium?

I just want a remastered castaway!!

If they do remake/remaster TS2 & TS3, I hope they'd work with Rod Humble again. He was a huge part of the reason why those games were so great and I'm super sad Life by You didn't get a chance to thrive.

I couldn't run TS3 since it migrated from Origin to EA app. After watching this video, I try to run TS3 and it works! It's a pleasant surprise, EA app disappointed me for many times, I have a low expectation for it 😅

So, I believe that there is going to an Aliens rehaul due to the fact that the new kits all have references to aliens. There's also a lot of references to the goths in the paintings as well. I'm not entirely positive if it has to do with Bella's abduction or not but maybe there will be a return of those aliens.

Also a cool thing that the Sims creators could do if they can't legacy those specific games is maybe make working worlds in up and coming DLC (or for base game preferably since it's kind of a birthday thing). Ones that would include families that were perhaps related to the other families we currently have and let them live in these classic/rebuilt worlds. Along with having things to do, classic cas and build mode items from previous titles. That would be fine by me.

Merchandise from previous games being released on the franchises 25th anniversary doesn't mean there's a refresh/reboot coming but rather the company is hoping to tug on heartstrings and nostalgia to make money by having merch that celebrates the last quarter of a century of said franchises existence.

my ideal scenario: Rerelease Sims 1 and 2 as ultimate collections (because even in their totality these two games are much smaller than Sims 4) and a total refresh of The Sims 3 then put it back on sale for people who don't own it - but free updates for people who already own it and the EP's. I think that way people would stop asking for an open world, because it already exists in TS3 but the game quality is a bit low compared to what we expect now.
In reality I think they're releasing nostalgia stuff to tie in with the movie - specifically Sims 2 with Bella Goth and her story. Then it looks like some iteration of The Sims Online is coming so maybe they've ripped old items from past games to make a Sims online and thats the nostalgia aspect....

I hope this means that EA will release enhanced versions of the Sims 1-3 soon

The milk carton thing is a pretty easy solve. It features sims who are missing in some way. Sims 2 Bella was missing, the burglar is missing from sims 4. The others I can't see.

Man, if they remade TS2, left all the live mode features completely unchanged, but updated the CAS and Build mode, we'd potentially have the best Sims game ever.

If they wanted to give us something for free while encouraging purchases, t would be nicer if they updated the crappy Sims 4 past packs, adding a few things to the teeny tiny kits before they did this.

I'm not optimistic about anything nice.

I genuinely hope they don’t update the sims 2, because my mods just won’t work anymore and that would piss me off

My theory is from what someone else’s videos theory was that it could be a like a sims 3 into the future EP for the sims 4 and as the gift it would be nice if ea gave remasters of sims 1-3 😅lol

The milk carton with Sims 2 Bella goth is a direct reference to Sims 2. The milk carton in general is from sims 2. On the side of that milk carton in the game you’ll see a missing sign with Bella Goth on it

Why didn't you mention the BIG bug that many players on Twitter and the Forums are talking about, which I brought up under your last video yesterday, about items from packs people own and even base game items all missing from the Build/Buy catalogue. There is a post on Answers HQ about it with more and more people Me Tooing.

I was going to buy the 3 new Kits today, but I won't be buying anything for The Sims 4 until they fix whatever they did to the game.

And just for the record, I even did a troubleshoot from EA Help, and reset my game completely, as if new, and tried it, and it didn't change a thing, everything is that was missing, is still missing. And as it turned out, it wasn't just Everyday Clutter that was missing, it's also other packs items, as well as base game items. And it's just a few from different packs, it seems to be just decor items that may be affected, but when you own all the packs, it's hard to check for all the items missing, especially if you don't remember them all.

I hope we have The Sims 2 on the EA app 💚

Why do some older games no longer work ? Legacy 16 bits, or even 8 bits, code. Current CPU can no longer run 16 bits code, and even less 8 bits code. Only 64 bit, and legacy 32 bits, code.

I‘m so tired of this era of ripping things from their time and modernizing them. Are people incapable of creating something new? It’s from another generation and belongs to them. Up until now, every generation had their own distinct style and pop culture.
Today’s culture is all about appropriating what defined older generations. Suddenly our own subcultures are reduced to aesthetics.

The whole entertainment industry keeps stealing movies, fandoms and game franchises and ruining them for the original fans.
I don’t want things from my generation tainted by people who weren’t part of it. Our ideas and creations are not a costume for the uninspired.
Do your own thing!
Unless the Sims team is truly incompetent at their job, they should be able to do what past developers did.

Anyone who played Sims 1 and 2 is computer savvy enough to get them to run. Others will find 5 minutes to google it. We don’t need a reboot. EA profiting from past successes, while refusing to develop a new game, is unacceptable.

I mean yes TS2 and TS3 aren´t perfect but they´re still pretty good the way they are and I don´t trust EA to actually make any good imrpovements if they decide to remaster them

I 100% percent believe that all the nostalgia and retro stuff is leading to their new expasion pack, which I believe is the 80/90s Throwback pack that was listed as a possibility for new packs coming out. Also, from previous release dates, the 6th is when packs have become available. And, motherload is the cheat for money, which what do you need to shop at malls or go to arcades with... money. Makes perfect sense to me, but idk.
