A big part of what your talking about is being positive, trendy word is positive affirmations, it's a bit of a hippie thing but they were onto something, including hugging trees, that's something that's a part of the big picture as well, be positive and positive things come your way, if your the type of person that says why does it always happen to me! It does because it's your mindset, the Universe gives you what you ask for... I'm skimming and I'll leave it there... The tree bit related to grounding, no shoes on etc.... electromagnetic stuff... Humans are mostly water and we are electrical beings...ok I'm stopping now before I lecture... Stay safe stay shiny and have fun.. Question everything....

Hi from Italy. You said you are happy to teach him anything you know and that's beautiful.Keep going!😊
Unfortunately, our bosses are jealous of their knowledge, because they think that if they teach you too much you will compete with them one day. Here in Italy, if you are a good worker who makes high quality jobs, basically you earn the same amount of money than the worst workers and they took advantage of you.

Stress is definitely something I struggle with, the company I work for has their painters working solo at each shop (MSO), on flat rate. I miss the team environment of a paint shop. Also the material budget is crazy, you have to put 1.5 coats of clear on everything and even still its not easy to always stay within their budget. All of it just makes me lose the passion that I got when I first started this trade as a prepper. You have to cut corners to make a decent buck, It shouldn't be that way. Also funny you talk about the impact the older guys can have, a lot of things I was taught really stuck with me. Don't think those guys realize how much of a impact they really had.

Being conservative on work stuff is from working in shit places that cut corners and don't look after you. You've had multiple jobs over the years and moved on after giving glowing reviews at the start, it's easy to preach but a bad day is a bad day.

I admire your work ethic and you certainly have the right attitude and I respect that. My problem with 'coming in early and working through lunch' etc is that if I do more, others will do less and take advantage of that. Over time everyone starts to expect it. Sure, the boss notices but I hate the feeling being taken advantage of. I guess it helps if the boss is an appreciative and understanding guy... I think its very important to set boundaries and be firm like you said.
Anyway, love from New Zealand ❤

I really needed this video man, been in a weird place for the last 2 weeks with motivation and thinking my place of business was trying to get over on me but in all reality they have always took care of me for the last 15 years especially when covid hit . I’ve always shared the knowledge I have to my helpers and get them as much spray time as possible and some moved on to be painters and others didn’t work out in my shop but they eventually made there way to be a painter . I try to keep in contact with past helpers to see how they are doing but thanks gunny man really needed this

I burned myself out trying to work full-time with a disability. I feel a lot better now that I've stopped pressuring myself to be a 9-5 working man. It's over, financially, but I didn't have much to look forward to anyway. No house (let's be honest, mortgage) no kids, no wife/girlfriend (ever), hardly any real friends. I just stay at home. The life of the invisible man is inane.

That positivity stuff doesn't do much for me. I find it condescending. No, I can't do anything I set my mind to.

I have been watching your videos for awhile I subscribed because of this video! I’m on the same mind set and it drives me nuts people who put in 30 mins of work a day or just a 8 flag time they think they deserve a raise! Wasn’t raised that way it dose make your day faster 100%
