Great song, though after the white and red guards you missed the best one! Neswtor Makhno and his Black Guards! Who were better than both and dedicated to freedom rather than empire and bloody conquest.

I live in the Canadian province where the Mayerthorpe incident referenced by this song happened in 2005. Four RCMP officers were killed, IIRC the biggest police killing in Canadian history.

There is just something about a Horse Soldier that tickles the bones in some of us. It doesnt matter if the horse is flesh or steel. Cavalry just sparks an image, be it on the ground or in the air. I dont mean those elitist pricks of knights either, just the Horse Soldier. The equivalent of the bloody infantry that Heinlein threw a salute to in Starship Troopers. Especially with his naming convention of the small platoon ships, like the Rodger Young. No seriously go look up the service record of Rodger Young if you dont believe me. I have not served but mad respect to you all who have.
