ОтветитьGreat to see these two chat. Big fan of Soren and Sid.
ОтветитьThanks Soren, that was a fun interview. I'll pick up his book for sure.
ОтветитьI'm 39 years old and I would be scared to look at the number of hours of my life that I have spent playing and enjoying games made by Sid Meier!
ОтветитьThank you Mr. Sid Meier for the countless hours of ENRICHMENT to my and others lives. Godspeed
ОтветитьSid Meier is such a great and humble man. We're so blessed to have him around!
ОтветитьI'm late to the game, but I just finished listening to the audiobook of "Sid Meier's Memoir!". It was great! This interview is the cherry on top.
ОтветитьMerci pour cette interview passionnante avec une personne exceptionnelle du jeu vidéo
Ответитьdoes he talk about Alpha Centauri?
ОтветитьCiv 3 is nearly very good but I miss spy's caravans free tech for capturing cities money for capturing cities and difficult or impossible curruption making it silly to try to capture the whole world.
Anyone else think these need to be reinstated ?
The interviewer should ask questions and not simply tell us what he knows or thinks he knows.
Ответитьhow boring can a game developer be?
ОтветитьOne of the gaming grandmasters !! So cool !!
ОтветитьHours spent on Silent Service, red storm rising, pirates, f19 strath fighter, civilisation etc. . Boy I can go on. Thanks sid.
ОтветитьOne of his first and still amazing games is Crusade in Europe. That game should be updated. It might be the best concept for a real time game. You had quality of units, gain quality through experience, different movement based on terrain, weather, unit type and experience and the best part that made it repayable. You gave an order and it would take time to move based on formation and the elements listed previously. This game was not Command and Conquer rush. I just downloaded it again from Abandonware and I keep finding myself playing it over and over.
ОтветитьHe’s so on the nose with the valley of despair not being exclusive to making video games. I think every artist goes through the same exact predicament. Great interview!
